Zipcode reports

Dave, I just realised that though the zipcode reports are supposed to be only for the USA, some that I entered before seeing the note have registered and are clickable from my member page. So it looks as if we can leave a record of which plants do well in our area for people to look at.
This means that they are linked to my details of where I live and what hardiness zone, so someone wishing to see which plants grow well for me can access the information through my member page.

Is this an interesting thought for you, can we make use of this to show more information on plants for those of us outside the US too?
I stopped giving the information, but can easily run through and continue to mark the plants that grow well here if it's worthwhile

Only valid US zipcodes are allowed in that section, but it DOES allow you to enter other stuff. The thing is, periodically the system does a sweep and kills any entries that are invalid. So, it's a waste of time to do it.

The system relies on the latitude/longitude coordinates of each zip, and the system destroys any entry that does not have a lat/lon in the DB. That's all non-US entries, incidentally.

I still think the ISO needs to come together with an international location code that covers every square mile on earth. Now THAT would be incredible! Until then, we're outta luck and the feature remains US only.

OK

I suppose I was approaching the subject from the other end and seeing that people could get a list up of the plants that do well for me on my page rather than in the PDB.
If they're going to disappear I'll not do any more ;)
I only did a few before I realised...
