Mail Tab?

Wouldn't that be lovely up top? : )

Not unless we can have another row of tabs.

With the number of tabs that are along the top now, I have to scroll back and forth to sometimes read a post. I have a 17" monitor so it's not tiny, but it's not huge either.

It would be nice if one of the existing tabs could be put in a second, lower, row.

Is anyone else having this same problem, or is it just me?

Mike- I have an 11" Mac Powerbook which I think qualifies for teeny and I never have to scroll back and forth.

This might be a question for a PC person because I know that when we did the beta testing on the new DG, Dave fixed that.

Treelover, is your monitor's display resolution perchance set to less than 800 x 600? That could be your problem.

My screen resolution setting is set at 800 x 600. I just changed the setting to 1024 x 768. That fixed the problem, but everything is kinda small. I'll try this for a while and see if I can get used to the smaller type/print on my screen. If not, I'll set it back and just deal with the scroll bar.

I agree with daisyavenue that a mail tab would be brilliant. It's hard work how it is...
Perhaps in the lower row if no room above??

Tree - If you have a scrolling mouse you can set your resolution to 1024 x768 and then hold down the Ctrl key and scroll your mouse button to enlarge the font. The screen size stays the same but the font size increases. I think you can do that in your browser settings somehow too but I'm not sure how to do it.

I think a mail tab would be ok, but by having it on the Home Page it keeps me using the HOME page! I like it because I miss the rotating PDB pics if I don't use my Home page.

There could be a "Maill Has Arrived" notice above your watched threads on the home page.

It would just be great to be able to go straight to mail as you can to the other areas of the site, but it probably would be more difficult to arrange?

Well, I can't add another tab for it, for starters. The tab realestate is obviously as taken as it can be. If I ever want to add another tab, I'll have to redo them all to make them smaller.

I can, however, add it to the menu below the tabs.

Psssst, Dave - if you combined the Member Page and Preferences into "My Info" or something similar, that would free up space in that second row (which is getting nearly as crowded as the top tabs ;o)

Ummm, Dave? Well, I see you took my suggestion. But now I can't figure out how to update/modify/review my member page...

There is an option to Manage my Preferences in the top box under My Info.

Yes, they are now combined. I also changed the "Member Page" (or now called "My Info") page to include a whole new box that appears for you. It's the personal data box that only you see on your own page.
