Search problem?

Hi Dave

It seems we can't search for any words containing less than 4 letters. Is this on purpose or a bug?

The search engine system filters out simple words, and if the query is too short, it won't go. But, you can try putting the one word in quotes. What word is it that you are searching for, anyway?

dave

The word is Baa ;)

The minimum word length is 4 characters, and this is a limitation of the FULLTEXT search function of my database software. http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/Fulltext_Search.html

If you do want to perform a full search for Baa, I can do a manual search and email you the results - just lemme know. :)

Thanks for your answer Dave.

I don't think I'll bother you with a search, if I miss a post with my name in it, then I miss it.

Chuckling at how the simple things can stump us. "Baa" should have been an obvious guess, although I didn't and/or wouldn't have thought of it, either ;o)

I was thinking the same thing! I was sitting here thinking, "Now WHAT 3 letter word could Baa possibly be searching for?!?" hehee.

Ahhhh!

Don't you mean Baa-aa-aa?
