Foxfire browser help needed

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

I recently saw the ad at the bottom of Dave's about Foxfire and put it on my computer. Now I have a question.
When I go to a website like www.carealotpets.com for example that has a feature to look at a blown up picture in a window of a product it will not load. I know it is not the site as I loaded IE and the images enlarged in another window.
What do I have to do to get this feature to work properly in Foxfire?

Windy, their website is incorrectly coded - but Internet Exploder is allowing it to work anyway. I just went to that site and clicked on a link. For some reason they are escaping ampersands as & in the querystring part of the URL param. of the window.open function. Since that does not follow standards, Mozilla/Foxfire does not "unescape" the ampersands before passing the URL to the server - and their server just returns a blank window. So, unless you can convince them to fix their code you will have to use IE to visit their website.

Ok, thanks. I thought it was something I could fix with an option I was over looking. I do not usually use that site anyway, but just got a catalog from them and thought I would look at it.
I'll just load IE if I find a problem with it .I think I just might send them a note with your info in it if you do not mind. They just may lose customers if they leave it that way.

Windy, there's an extension that lets you quickly right-click on any blank spot on your current webpage and open a page in IE -- you can install it here: http://update.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=35 It comes in handy for the few pages Firefox won't view as intended.

Sometimes the pop-up blocker is preventing content from displaying, too. To allow pop-up's at a site, go to TOOLS > OPTIONS > WEB FEATURES and click the "Add Site" button to add a website to the "allow" list for pop-up's. Then click OK.

The reason I switched to Mozilla Firefox was I was getting viruses and tracking companies at IE. If I rt click will I still be protected, or is it the same as using IE from the start??

A lot of viruses are written to exploit security holes in IE, so Firefox will protect you from those. Cookies are not harmful to you (they do good things, too, like the ones here at DG which remember you from session to session so you don't have to login all the time), but if you don't like them you can set Firefox's options so there are more restrictions on them.
