Is 20 the maximum?

Oklahoma City, OK(Zone 7a)

When I go to view the plants I have entered into the PDB, I access my member page, select the "### Plants" tab (for those I have entered), I am taken to a list of plants in alpha order. The maximum number of pages that I am given to select from is 20, then there is a Next>> option. In order for me to see the plants that I have entered that start with the letter "E", for example, I have to click the Next button a dozen or more times. Is there an easier way to see the plant entries for pages beyond 20?

Thanks, Carla

Carla,

I just did a search on 'iris', which I know is a huge portion in the PDB (over 6000 entries). When I click on the 20th page, something like this appears in the location bar:

http:// davesgarden.com/pdb/search.php?search_text=iris&offset=380

If you modify the offset number in the location bar by multiples of 20 (change 380 to 400, 420, 3500, 5000, etc) you'll be able to get to the later parts of the alphabet a lil quicker.

Hope that helps! :)

That is an option, yes. Thank you for telling me about it. I had no idea you could do that.

What would be nice is - when you go to that first screen in the PDB and use the drop-down menu below the search bar, click Iris or Hosta or whatever and you are given an alphabet to narrow your search. For me, when I click on the ## of Plant entries, it would be nice to have an alphabet to click on the first letter of the botanical name to be able to search for a particular plant species or genus.

You can change the "page size" by going to your "Preferences" page (see link right under the PlantScout tab at the top menu). One of the options there says "How many results to you want to see on each page?" - just make that number larger (I have mine set to 60).
