Smell of Tube Rose is heavenly, very very sweet, can't express in words. Try these under full sun, due to cold these die. Now here temperature is 35 degree celsius but my plants strat dying. In spring these will come back again.
Welcome yumiko! :D
stem and leaves grow well here but no flowers,...
Someday ! will go to Pakistan to smell flowers!
I have alot, do you want to have small bulbs? I can send you.
Thank you so much gumlla
That was so sweet.
However I don't know about qurarantine regarding receiving bulbs from other country.
Probably it requires phytosanitary certificate and import permit.
I will try one more year and if it is no flower yet, I will ask your help then.
Thank you again.
Yumiko

Hi again Yumiko,
The octopus was good, although my lunch companions were skeptical! :-) I have only once seen the northern lights from southern Ontario, and that was about 10 years ago - but maybe some other DG-ers who have lived here for longer have seen them - ? We saw them in Edmonton quite a lot.
When you buy octopus in a store, is it in its original form...with head, legs, suckers, and everything? Or is it already neatly sliced?
Inanda,
I would love to even see a straw bale house, let alone live in one. Your comment regarding straw bale houses near echoes reminded me that where my mom lives, in Wawanesa MB, they are building Manitoba's first geo-thermal subdivision. Water from ground is used to heat the houses in the winter & cool them in summer. Sounds like some neat things going on in Manitoba!
It's a great feeling to be environmentally aware........I have heard about the geo thermal homes going in around the world..........so interesting! Elaine

I found this link to a pic and some info on straw bale houses..
Splklatt.
There are tons (literally) of SB houses in PQ. Ditto Ontario and all over the USA, Europe, iraq, iran, mongolia. There is a good SB PQ list - think it is on Yahoo
There are SB houses right in the middle to Montreal. I visited a couple here in Manitoba (with our Echoes) last week, being built in a local sub-division.
Geothermal heating is becoming more popular too.
The current SB effort is a medical centre in Cape Town and an orphanage. So if anybody here are Rotarians, LMK. I'll send you the links.
Better pmail me though. Garden content - in fairly rainless areas, garden walls, benches etc. are made this way.
Inanda
Habitat for Humanity has built some in Minnieapolis in the last couple of years.
