Seed / Plant Trading forums - ability to mark offer 'Closed'

Brooksville, FL(Zone 9a)

Hi, I was looking in the seed trading forum today and it is hard to tell what offers are 'taken' or 'closed' and what are still available unless you read through many posts in each thread. Would it be possible to mark these threads as 'Closed' when all the offers are gone just like we mark threads 'solved' in the id forum? That way, we don't waste time looking through trade posts that are not available any longer.

Thanks,
Onalee

What a wonderful idea onalee! I think that would be great too.

The person offering the seeds or plants can edit their original post, stating that the offer is closed-something to that affect-just like they do in the co-op forum.
Seems like this would be more work for Dave & would be easy for us to do wothout having to add more work for him. But it would be what ever Dave would want to do-just thinking out loud :)

Christmascactus,
That would be nice for people to do and some people do that - but you still have to click into the thread to see that - the other way it shows right on the title AND (like the id forum) you can choose to see only threads / trades that are still open.

it's just a suggestion for possible future enhancement . . . .

Onalee,I see what you mean now-just read it wrong-sorry.

I was just thinking the same thing and here I found it's already been said. Sure wish you could tell the seeds are all gone without having to go into each one.

me too you get excited then find out theres none left.

if i see that its closed then the hope wont be there and i can move on.

i also think its good for the ones who have only like 20 offers. they dont get bombbarded with me pleases if they can mark closed.

i vote yes.

I'm reviving this thread to see if there is any chance still of getting this added feature? It would be quite helpful if we could mark the seed and plant trading threads closed like we do with threads in the ID forum.

Thank you,
Mary Ev.

A great idea, as I've often seen outdated posts and wondered if the item was available or not.

I wouldn't hesitate and wouldn't feel bad about posting a follow-up if there was a 'Closed' option.

Hope it's a feasible possibility!

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

I vote for this too :)...
Especially after posting to the original post "offer is closed" so many times in a thread...folks just don't read the whole thread...finally I had to just quit replying to the thread because it only brought it back up for someone new to see....then that made me feel like I was being rude. :( The last impression I want to give anyone.

Closing a thread at the top might get their attention??
Might also help to have the option like the ID forum where you can view only OPEN OFFERS???

Thanks Dave for considering it.
