Need positive thoughts and prayers.....

Some of you may know this already---- I'm facing job loss come 1st quarter next year. I work for a large corporation that is outsourcing some of their IT (information techonology) functions - and it just so happens that I'm in a group that is being outsourced. I've been with the company 12+ years and am currently looking internally for a position. Unfortunately, nothing's come up. All my peers (with the exception of a few that have to work through the transition to the company that will be handling our jobs) have jobs already and so I'm kind of like one of the last ones to get "settled". I'm tyring to keep upbeat and positive - because everyone tells me something will come up and that I'll find something long before March - but somedays it's hard to feel that way. Put on top of that, I'm the major bread winner at our house and lets just say - we'd be in deep water if I didn't have a job. I'd get a good severance - but IT jobs are scarce in this area - plus - I'd like to keep my seniority here.

I've personally seen the power of prayer and positivie thinking work in my life as well as others - and so I'm asking that if you will - please say a prayer for me or if you're not the praying type - think positive thoughts and send them my way.

You guys are like a second family to me - and I really appreciate your support.

My dad lost his job last year, and as we are all dependant on him, it was hard for us 4 (mom, sister and me). But things are working alright. Looking back, it looks like it was all planned since the beginning by someone above us, and that´s what I believe - we are part of a perfect plan, and even these "bumps" are suposed to be in our way.

Hi, Marcia - I'm praying for you to have peace and direction. Howie's company has had two or three rounds of "permanent layoffs" the last couple years, and it's such a waiting game sometimes. They never get any notice, not officially anyway. God has a place for you, and He will provide for your family's needs; it sounds trite, but in the end it's the truth. Praying you'll have His peace and sustaining joy in your heart.

MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED! Thank you all so much - wanted you to know that I got and accepted a job offer today - a very good offer and something I think I'll love! I know this wouldn't have happened had it not been for all my support here. Thanks to everyone!

prayer really works isn't that the truth, so happy for you, and does my heart good to read all the good reports on these threads how people intervene with their prayers , and God intervenes with His answers....
I have been praying for many as I read their prayer requests...We do serve a very faithful Father..

How wonderful that you have found a job that you think you will really love. I have had you in my thoughts ever since you first posted as I know how it is to go for two and a half years with the major breadwinner not working so I was really praying you would find something very soon.
