A girl and her dog.

It's so hard to lose a pet, they're so much like babies, so perfect, sweet and loving. The best way to deal is to share your love with another that needs a home and your love.

Your daughter and her new friend really make a cute pair!

Chele, so glad I took another look at this thread. Maddie is just precious and so is the new pup. So sorry about your other pooch - it's just like losing a member of the family.

Stumbled on this thread Chele, looking for the kids are done up in their costumes. I can't believe you got yourself a puppy to train with a new baby not to mention all the other kids. You are super woman! No wonder you are tired!

Wow I stumbled upon this thread looking up something else. Makes me feel better badseed. My 12 mo old girl is wearing size 18 months and is in the 50% on weight, 75% on height. She looks just as "healthy" as the pic of your girl! So cute rolling around with that pup!!!!!

Ohhhh, Maddyie! I can't believe she was ever so little!

Wow! Talk about the archives. LOL

Tir, all of my kids were butterballs, in the 95th percentile. LOL I credit it to lots of nursing!

Tippy up there, turned out to be a very bad result of unplanned breeding. She was deaf and we could not get her potty trained. She also nipped too rough because she could not hear the kids or other dog crying when she bit too hard. We ended up having to re-home her. We still kind of chuckle now, thinking about her. Since she could not hear, she was totally obnoxious chewing on squeaky toys. We sincerely hope her new owner is also hard of hearing so she hasn't driven them bonkers!

Sadly, Nina was hit by a car soon after we moved here.

We went out right away and bought a goofy Chocolate Lab puppy. She is a lot to handle but we love her. Last year we were gifted a herding mutt. She's possibly the ugliest dog I have ever seen but she does great at guarding the place, keeping the kids in line and rounding up the chickens when they don't want to be penned. LOL Libby and Dixie get along wonderfully!

Here is a rare photo my family as I am usually behind the camera. Maddie is in the center, wearing pale pink. My! How time flies!

Look at that skinny little thing. Bwaaaa! Yep, they were all chubby!

I often reflect on the last 6 years and all the wonderful people I have met here and the ones that have come and gone and the ones that we have lost. It's amazing, huh?!

Houston, United States(Zone 9b)

OHHH thanks for the pictures!!!! Your kids are SUPER cute!!!!!! The one of her @ the 2002 RU she has the most beautiful eyes!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Thanks! She's the only one of the 6 that got olive green eyes, like my sister. ;) They are hard to photograph as they usually look brown. This picture is from last fall, before I cut her hair to her shoulders.

Did you ever have a hard time finding baby clothes that fit your girls? My girl has almost always needed older sizes. She's one and needs 18 mo pants for both height and weight. My Mom said she couldn't even have pants on her boys, they'd fall off. LOL!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Yes! By the time they got around the bellies, they could be long. ;) I've found that more expensive brands tend to run larger while less expensive clothing tends to run about right and also shrink more. Having all girls, the clothes get worn out one way or another. LOL

Houston, United States(Zone 9b)

YEAH about the brands!!!! What's 12 mo onsies in one brand is okay but really generics DO tend to shrink more and still run smaller. Strange on that one.

Houston, United States(Zone 9b)

So surely you of all people has mastered the art of stain removal? What do you use???

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Hey, I have no kids, but I want to know this secret art, too!
