A girl and her dog.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Maddie is five months old now and already breaking her mommy's heart. Other than me of course, this is her best friend Nina. Maddie is already over 19 pounds and wearing 12 month clothing. It just isn't fair!!!! :(

How Darlin'!!!! Good selection for a child's playmate.

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Awwwaaaaa... how cute.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Nina is a very good dog. My only fault with her is that she runs off but she comes home for a piece of cheese. LOL She is a lab/cocker mix of all things! She'll do anything for love which makes her a great companion for Maddie. They lay together and Maddie squeezes and pets all over her.

Maben, MS(Zone 7b)

A lot of love in that picture.

San Diego, CA(Zone 10a)

That is one BIG stuffie. What a patient animal. Maddie is just beautiful. They do not stay small near long enough.

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Such sweethearts! Love 'em both!

Maddie is just adorable.Looks like she has a new best friend and a loving pet to watch over her.

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

Great picture of two best friends!

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Wow, she already wear 12 months size clothes.. She's only 5 months old. She's so adorable. :o)

Maddie is just adorable - they look like great pals.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Oh, my gosh...What a great picture! We had a tri-color collie when I was little, and Cassie was patient like that with me.

Edgewater, MD(Zone 7a)

Thats a great pic Chele. I cant believe Maddy is 5 months old now, it seems like it was last week that we were all making bets on what day she would be born. LOL.
Isabelle grew the same way, she was wearing (and still is) clothese twice her age in size. Shes such a chunker but shes tall too. I see all these other kids her age and think about how fragile they look but have to think back to the time when my other two were that age and they were more petite too.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

oh my what a doll baby n getting so BIG!

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Ok Chele I am mad you didn't tell me this was here. I can't believe how big she is getting. She is such a little doll. But so are all the girls.

Crossville, TN

Yea...me too...two of the kids best fans...and we have to find it out by accident!! She is adorable...Jo

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

Just too cute! How is your new pond doing and the old pond space?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL I am so much in trouble, huh? :) I had not posted a pic of little Maddie in a while. She is such a joy. She mostly laughs and is testing out her voice now. She says mama and occasionally da or ba which we think is bad. LOL She truly loves her sisters and being outdoors. I have no idea what we will do with her when it gets cold!

The pond is doing great! The old pond was filled in and is still needing grass. My tiller croaked and I am also putting off digging out my 'island' because it looks so neat filled with brugs, ears, bananas, sun coleus, sweet potato vines, etc. Once I am ready to till and seed/sod, it is forever gone. :( I guess I can procrastinate by saying I am waiting until we take the pool down. ;)

Oklahoma City, OK(Zone 7a)

Oh, my word that child has grown. Gracious, woman, are you just feeding her fertilizer, or what?

Santiago, Chile(Zone 9b)

They are both so lovely!

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

badsees, that is a lovely photo of your adorable daugher.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Sadly, we had to take our 14 year old husky to be euthanized on Thursday. We are so accostumed to having mulitiple pets....We were kind of enjoying only having only one dog for those two whole days...LOL I had stopped by a house with puppies for sale a couple of weeks ago but decided against it since our oldest dog was ailing. Circumstances moved up her departure. This is what ended up coming home with me Saturday....

This is the tiny 9 week old thief with a paste tomato!
Believe it or not, she is about the size of a guinea pig. She can barely get up and down the steps, but has no problem stealing tomatoes. LOL

This is Peppar this passed July. She went to join her best friend Citron. They were together most of their lives until Citron got ill.

Nina, in the first pic, joined Peppar a few years ago.

Oh my goodness, I think that is the cutest thing I have ever seen!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

It has been a pretty emotional time for me. :(

Sweet Maddie is 6 months old today. She is tickled to have a new friend her own size. And yes, she is sitting up now. boooo hoooo

Think they'll get along???

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

Oh, I think so, they look like a perfect match! I know what you mean about the other situation, went through that not long ago myself and I am still not over it. I just try not to think.

Aww Chele, beautiful pictures but a very sad story. I'm sooooooo sorry. It's so hard losing our dear pets. My beloved Oreo had a stroke on July 13 and was gone within the hour. I don't think I'll ever get over it. Maddie is doll baby...just like her mom :-) Sending big HUGS!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

She is supposed to be Lhaso Apso x Dingo x Australian Shepherd. Going by the size of her feet, she should not be so big. That will be quite different for us.

Hi Connie! It never gets any easier, does it? Goodbye is always goodbye. This is the second time for us since we had kids. 14 years sure is enough time to leave your mark on time and also on the people around you.

Vic, I am sorry about Oreo. :( How is Woodstock doing??

Hard to believe I was wanting to get prego when you were here, then I did and the baby is six months old already. I must be getting REALLY old! LOL

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

Yeppers and I think this one is gonna leave a mark for sure! What is her name if she has one yet?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

How many times do you think five little girls can change a name in a 29 hour period?? LOL We have run through such a long list! I think we have now settled on Tippy. Her name is Tippy Toes. :) That is subject to change of course. Her black ear has a white tip, her black buns and tail end with a white tip and her feet are all white. That is where Tippy came from. Name could change at any given moment. LOL

Ha ha, better than tipsy I guess! Tippy Toes Tomatoes Meyer

My dear mother who is 85 likes to talk of her childhood dog whose name was Tippy. Woodstock is wonderful - for an old gal - just like her human mother LOL

Chele I know this has been hard for you. I am glad you got the new puppy. Maddie will have a playmate to grow up with. Beautiful puppy and the pictures of Maddie are great.

What a couple of cutie pies. Love the coloring on Tippy.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your husky baby, Chele. :( Your new little noname is darling - can't wait to meet her! Tippy Toes is a great name...Or you could call her Tippy Tulip Toes.

Vic, I didn't know about Oreo. Sorry! :(

Jesteburg-Wiedenhof, Germany(Zone 8a)

That's a lovely wee lassie ye've got there Chele.

I trust you're fine and looking forward to number 7, now that the baby is sitting up :-p
