scifstore's user names?

Hi, Dave, Just stumbled on the scifstore thread (and,by the way, I don't really know what a scifstore is...) and noticed a 'store' there had the same user name as mine--only with a capital "T", (i.e., tabasco-Tabasco). This could be confusing to some--Dave, any thoughts on this? Thanks. t.

The scifstore system is separate from DG. You can read more about it at http://www.scifstore.com/

You can also email the Tabasco store and ask who they are.

OK. Yes, Dave, I read the FAQ's on the scifstore and I understand when you say the two sites are 'separate'.

But still, somehow, it 'appears' to me that there is some kind of relationship between scifstore and DG; and, if so, it might be nice to make the names exclusive....

Just an idea....

Well, Scif is indeed the name of the software that operates DG, as well as ScifStore, but that doens't make them related.

Does the fact that you and Ulrich both use Windows, mean that you live in the same house or even neighborhood? :-)

No it doesn't Dave........
But I live in WA, and Ulrich lives in CA whereas ScifStores and Dave's Garden both live at
StandardOut, Inc
That I believe does make them related :-)

Actually, DG lives in Tennessee and ScifStore lives in New York. :-)

That may all be true and is all well and good Dave. You asked what gave the impression that the two sites were related. What I posted was my 'impression'...........just answering your question.
You've addressed only the Powered by Scif portion.....the link to StandardOut still links the two sites to eachother in the eyes of the users. But enough from me on this.................
I could honestly care less, and am deleting this thread from my watch list, as it is obvious feedback is not really desired.

Thanks for the exchange, rikerbear. When a change is possible, I make it happen. In this case, there's not much I can do since the software signature is hardcoded on all my sites. Ahh well.

Well, Dave, Thanks for asking my observations.

To answer your question: the language (as R. and U. noted above), the link I used to get to the s-store site, and the mention of 'Dave's Garden' somewhere on the s-store site, did plant the thought in my mind that the two were somehow connected, even if not officially...

Whichever the case, I wish you well in your internet projects and I am interested in any new developments....
