I've been watching this one for Tracey. Will follow with a couple more pictures. To be honest....I'm not sure if this is Tracey's or Susie's cross. LOL!
Harlot
She's a beauty, Shirley. I wish mine would bloom.
What a great pink! She is lovely.
That's another beauty.
She's a beauty! I love her color!!
She stood up pretty well to those storms. :~)
How tall does this Brug get?
So far she hasn't grown huge for me, but she really loads up with blooms. Probably one of the heaviest bloomers I have.
She really is loaded with blooms.........before and after the storms!
She is FANTASTIC!!! Serious lust here!
I just got some.pollen from a sweetheart who took pity on me. Sadly, I will use it up tonight. YUM YUM YUM
I hope you are saving that pollen Brugie!! It is worth $$$ Can I bribe you? LOL
I'll check for more tomorrow.
Its a beauty for sure!

Pull the anthers when they are fluffy with pollen. Lay them on waxed paper in a dark place so they can dry for a couple of days and then fold the waxed paper around them like an envelope, mark the name on it and the date you took it and put it inside a baggie and stick it in the fridge. Some people put it in the freezer, but I just use the fridge.
Brugie, YOU ARE THE BOMB!!!! Thanks for such a quick response and great information too! How long can you keep it ???? Extended periods of time or short periods...I always wondered how ya'll did that, cos' some don't bloom when you want to pollinate one to another. Am I making sense? lol
I think a year is enough because you can get fresh pollen next summer. No need to keep it longer. I have heard that it is good for up to two years, but I won't take that chance.
Absolutely gorgeous!!
So............someone tell me. Is this Susie's or Tracey's hybrid?
Gorgeous Shirley!
My notes are that French is H and Plunk is SP.
Thanks Linda.
Liz, I wish you could get this one. She really is special. It's a toss up between this one and Susanne. My Vixen was broken off in one of the storms, but she looks like a real winner too.

She might be the bell of the ball, Shirley, very pretty. Do you think she would make it in the heat in my zone 8a????
Gorgeous ... I was so glad I got to see this one in person. She is a beauty!!!
Thanks everyone. Sherry, yes, I think she would do fine, especially if you could give her afternoon shade. I've not tried putting her in full sun, but she might even take that well.
Bob, I hope you guys don't float away in your area. I can't imagine all the rains that people have had this year. Certainly, not many of us can complain that we are in a drought situation now.
Bob, I hope four or five inches of rain is all you get. We had about four inches in less than twenty hours and it's still raining. I don't know how much all totalled we've gotten from Frances. All my tall plants and trellis's are laying over on the ground with their roots sticking up from too much rain and winds. My Cassia bushes are all broken and laying on the ground. I tried to stand a few plants back up and tramp the soil down but with the ground being so wet and the winds, they just fall back over. It's been a bad year here.
So sad Ada. Sounds like it is about time to give it up for this year. You have had such a bad one. I feel so bad when things like this happen and there is nothing you can do to prevent the damage. I hope next year is so much better for you. I'm wondering what Ivan will bring to the US when he arrives. Maybe he will decide to fizzle out. Let's hope.
Your plants are very beautiful, when will I have flowers with mine?
It takes several months whether from cuttings or seed, to bloom. I have seen cuttings bloom a single bloom early, but to get a good plant and uniform blooms, it will take some time. Your cutting is just a baby now, so I'd say you are going to have maybe four or five months of growing time before lots of blooms.
Ada, I am so sorry about your garden and the rain, such a shame. Of course we are begging for rain here. I lost TONS of plants in the rain, I have obvious vacant spots. All my brugs did make it, tho my Whiskers & Butterfly are being eaten up by bugs, nothing seems to help, except growth, when they get big here, bugs don't bother them as much. If my Species, sp, was a human, I'd say is has 'failure to thrive'. She is overshadowed by some big, hefty brugs, I'm considering moving her. What ever, after the rains this summer, the plants were so spoiled re the abundant water, that even the most drought hardy are wilting and I'm watering all the plants 3 times a day. I think too much rain is probably worse, than not enough. There is just very little you can do with too much rain, unless, of course they are all in pots and you can move them to shelter. Wears me out thinking about it. My Baldwin NY pal just posted that they having the worst rain in 10 years - her yard is small and she has three Goldens, whew!!
In winters we have minimum temp. 0 degree Celsius, Can this plant grow out safely?

Is it 32 degrees consistently or only once in a while for just a few hours, Gumlla? Where I live, we get some nights down to 30 degrees and I get a little freezer burn on the leaves but it then bounces back to 40s and 50s in the day.
If it stays down too long I get stem damage. And if we have a freeze for awhile, the plant dies to the ground but usually will come back up in spring.
On really cold nights, I covered them with sheets which worked great last winter though not for my marriage! LOL
What gorgeous coloration that one has Shirley! :D
