I'm a new gardener and I have 9 or so different perennials to prune this fall and winter each of of which should probably be handled differently. I'm trying to get a "heads up" on what I will have to do but can't find this information by plant anywhere including this DG site.
There is no "Pruning" forum and the Plant database doesn't have this information. Even Google sometimes says "Do you mean planting?"
Does anyone know a single resource I could check? Do I have to send separate emails to DG'ers who mention that they have the plant? I beginning to think that's what I will have to do and make sure that they are near my zone 5b.
Fall/Winter Pruning Facts
The book you want is The Well-Tended Perennial Garden by Tracy Disabato-Aust. It is a great book, my favorite, and it will tell you how to handle each plant. Light on photos but huge on information! Often, a local library can interloan it for you if they don't own it.
Thanks sylvi74;
I check with Amazon to see if I can buy it.
Just bought it for $25 with shipping amazon. Well worth $25 to end the frustration. Thanks again.
