We have no idea what this is. My Mother picked it up somewhere. It's painted metal.
Do you know what this is?
It looks like a trash receptacle. :)
It's a rubbish basket, but if you use your imagination, it can be a standing flower basket :-)
Wintermoor
I hadn't even thought of a trash bin. When I saw it I was thinking of putting maybe a morning glory in it
I think it's a structure to grow beans on!
hmmm, guess #1
all in one gladiola holder upper and varmit keeper outter. The glads would grow through the bottom screen part, keeping varmits from digging them up.
guess #2
Bird cage with no door, top or floor just to tick you off and make cleaning it up more of a chore :-)
LOL Lisa, what the heck did you have for breakfast???
too much coffee
you could flip it upside down, put your morning glory inside and then have a shelf for another potted plant on top :) I could think of a lot of things to use it for. :)
Got any slide doors on it? I have an old bird cage from years ago just like it.. It sat directly into a deep plastic try for the bottom and it had a plastic lid that fit over the top.. Quit using it for birds, the cats could knock it over too easily..
Larkie
What are its dimensions? It'd be handy for putting debris in while working in the garden. You could just take it along with you and stake it where you're working.
No there are no slide doors. It looks like the bin part is two pieces with the metal looped around to hold them together. I tried to unhook it but it didn't budge. When I first saw the picture of it I thought the legs would push into the soil to hold it in place. Each leg is a loop of metal and it's roundish on the bottom. I will take a closer picture if my camera decides to work again.
LOL .. justmelisa .. apparently, had her Razor Bran this morning! .. She's some sharp haint she!?! LOL
Yep, looks to be those 'portable' trash bag stands ...
Seen them many times, in the public parks .. Use them during family reunions, or any type gatherings, etc. Just place the adequate sized plastic bag inside, and skirt the top of it, over the top edges of the wire basket.
Some of you guys may want to bring along such, as a handy-dandy ditty to use at your UPcoming Round UPs !!! .. hee hee
Yup, it's got potential to be most anything a body could imagine tho' ... no doubt!!
I can't tell in the picture if it has a bottom. if not it could be a tree cage to protect seedlings from deer eating them.
with a liner plastic bag liner it could act as a receptical to fill with ice to hold drinks cold at a picnic, a dirty clothes hamber for camp outs, or a trash can.
In the garden it could cage plants that grow through it so that they do not need staking. Or line it with spagnum moss or almost any porus material and plant it up as a planter.
Or use it to hold collected pine cones to use as firestarters.
or....
