PDB error code

Oklahoma City, OK(Zone 7a)

Dave,

Database error: Invalid SQL:
MySQL Error: 1064 (You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'moredata = 'a:3:{s:8:"add_cult";s:0:"";s:10:"hybridizer";)
Session halted.

I was trying to edit an entry that I typed incorrectly (somehow added it before I was done entering the information accurately) and this message popped up. I can't find the entry in the PDB to try to edit it again, either.

Help?

It's a bug related to the PDB changes I did yesterday.

I need to find the plant that you were trying to edit, and I need to know what fields you were changing (what did you put in which field?) Can you give any of that information?

Editing the plant Carolina Anemone (Anemone caroliniana)

Common name:Carolina Anemone

Family: Ranunculaceae

Genus: Anemone

Species: caroliniana

I was changing the Genus field and adding the Common Name and the Family.

I've edited it already...I didn't realize it was under discussion until I came back here ;o)

Wow, Terry. You sure are quick. I couldn't get it to "take".

I get the same error message when I try to edit any entry.

Edited to say thanks for working on those changes! :)

Just to let you know, I still am not able to edit any entries in the database.

I have also been getting that message whenever I goof up on an entry in vegetables and try to edit. Been doing that for about two months. I used the error report a couple of times but figured you all would get around to fixing it sooner or later.

Would you believe that this entire bug was caused by ONE MISSING COMMA? Crazy.

Anyway, it's fixed now! Thanks for ustedes patience!

Yep; back in the dark ages I had to write a program in Algol 60, (punch cards). later tried to write a few programs in BASIC when the home computers arrived. I know how picky machines can be about syntax and spelling.

I go back further than that! I did write some programs in Algol, but I wrote my first Computer Programs in Autocode on EDSAC2 at Cambridge University way back in 1964! There have been a few changes since then, but they are still just as picky on syntax and spelling!

Dave,

I'm editing my entries once again. Thanks for fixing this. I can get more done without bugging the administrators of the PDB so much. :)
