Seeds for active Davers

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gee Linda, You were robbed! LOL. I still have more people on my list that I had promised seeds to in the past, you must be on that list. I sent out about 75% before I went East. I will get you this time.

Thanks all for the offer of SASE. I am going to try to mail them out in regular envelopes this time. Have any of you used regular envelopes in the past with good or bad results? If I use those I won't need help. It is those bubble mailers that eat money!

Please email me how many seeds you want. Some just want 10 others may want many more. Give me an idea. I am not saying you will get them, but you may!

Raleigh, NC(Zone 7b)

Kell, I think if you folded the seeds inside a paper towel - fold the sheet in half, then fold around the seeds - it should work OK. They just need enough protection to avoid being crushed. If that doesn't seem safe then you could make your own padded envelope by cutting off a small piece of bubble wrap and folding the seeds in that (be sure to tape edges of envelope to avoid mangling by postal equipment).

I don't need nor want any seeds-just wondered what is an active davers vs. non-davers?

Since it is in the first post, anyone on the Net can read it and Email Kell,so she means Subcribers Colie. I think.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Hi Kell I did emailed you yesterday or day before not know if you get a chance to check email that I bet you are busy woman. LOL

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

Kell, don't send regular envelopes unless you can put the seeds in some bubble wrap in the envelope. The post office will crush them. They will go throught the auto sorter and thats where they will be crushed........If you put hand stamp on them they will want to charge you another 12 cents I think it is, so if you don't mind:
e:mail me your addy and I will send out a Bubble mailer with stamps and address label ready to go. That would be so much easier on you.......

As for how many seeds I want.......just send my what you can since I see you have a lot of people that are wantin' them.........

:O)

Kell I got your email, thanks. YOU ARE THE GREATEST

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Kell, what a generous person you are. If you have any seeds left I would like to try a few from your crosses and agree to terms. LMK and I will send a bubble mailer ,addressed and stamped same as WiilowWasp. Thanks Donna

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Kell, unfortunately the post office will crush the seeds in their auto posting machine; however, in my town, when we have something that needs it, we request a 'hand stamp' and they have always done it, we do it so often that we have our on stamp that says 'please hand stamp'. But, our town is tiny, and that might be why they are so nice about it...

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I think it would save Kell a lot of time and expense if everyone would just ask for her mailing address and send a bubble envelope with an address label inside along with postage. JMHO, but then, everyone would be pretty sure their seeds would get to them without being crushed. It would get expensive to pay postage and buy envelopes for everyone plus give out the seeds for free. You could even put a note inside the mailer when you send it saying which seeds you were asking for to make her sorting and mailing easier. Kell is very generous to do this. Especially with all she has to do after her 8 hour a day job.

Thank you root for answering my question.

Kell, you are such a sweetie. After the bad luck I had with the seeds last winter, and the big bag of seeds I still have, I won't ask for any, but you lucky people that are getting them will probably grow some real beauties. The pics I've seen of Kell's babies are just gorgeous.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

OK Brugie. You convinced me. LOL. And that will give me more time to pick a few more pods to dry. I can't mail them wet at all or they mold.

I will send emails out with my address. To save you all from sending 2 bubble mailers, 1 holding the one I will use, I have no trouble if you write my address on a label on the bubble mailer but put another addressed label to you (that will fit over the used label to me) in the mailer so I can reuse the same bubble mailer back to you. Does that make sense? LOL

I will just slit it open to get the stamps, your self addressed label and directions and then tape it back up after I put in the seeds. Make sense? LOL

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Great minds think alike......lol

This morning I wrote the same thing that Shirley suggested because it just makes sense to me to do this when a person is going to be sending out many envelopes of seeds. Anyway, I lost all that I had typed before sending and I did not have time at the moment to retype it.

I have done what Kell is suggesting and it is such a simple thing for each individual to do. I put a label with my address on it and also a label with Kell's return address and postage or money inside a bubble envelope. When mailing to Kell write small enough on the envelope so that the label that you made will cover info written. When everyone helps and does their own small part, then I believe the sender is more apt do to it again. It would take a considerable amount of time to address and put return address on such a large number of envelopes. When someone is sharing, I know that it really helps to keep their time consumed at a minimal.

Good luck to all of you who are getting seeds and most of all have fun!

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

kell I will gladly send you some extra envelopes if you send me address in email

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

ok Kell, I am putting my SASE in the mail to you today. The return lable and stamps are inside and the envelope is taped shut.

Depending on availability, I would rather have fewer #seeds of several crosses than lots of seeds of the same cross.

Thank you for your generosity, I know there are some beauties just waiting to be unlocked.

I also need your addy Kell, will be sending a padded envy, stamps and some labels to you tomorrow if I get it today or tonight from you. No problem here either, just greatly appreciated.

Kell
I am sure by now you are out of seeds but I would love to have some and I would certainly obide by all of the rules of hybridizer rights.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Kell, I was in your first batch of people that you were going to send seeds to. I sent you my address then, but it makes SO much more sense for you to send your address, and let everybody send you the padded envelopes and stamps. Besides all of the work and all of the money to send out so many envelopes, people will get their own address written correctly. With that many to do, it's a hassle to doublecheck all of the addresses to be sure that they're right.

Cornell, IL(Zone 5a)

Kell, I'm a newbie @ starting brugs from seed but would love to give it a try. I was just searching for some seeds on Ebay when I thought to check it out here. If anyone has info to help me be successful in starting them from seed I would appreciate it! If seeds are still available I would be more than happy to send a SASE to you. I would obide by the rules of hybridizer rights. Take care, Beth
