Can't get the chat program to work

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Dear Dave
The chat room is open and it's 7:22 p.m. EST....I've just tried to enter the chatroom and I get a page that is empty...nothing is happening. Nothing on the left side to click on, and well there is a box...but nothing else? Are their problems?

McKinney, TX(Zone 8a)

Hmmm.. I am in there with no problem, but it is kinda quiet tonight. Only 3 at the moment. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Melvindale, MI(Zone 5a)

Wouldn't work for me either. I can see people chatting but when I try to enter something to talk, nothing happens.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

I know it's after the fact, but were you typing your comments on the white (or light gray) line at the bottom of the black screen? Once you type your comment, you'll hit "enter" on your keyboard to submit.

for me there was no screen at all

It's Thursday, the 26th of August, 9:20 a.m.....still nothing, nothing but a blank box and nothing on the right side of it either...blank :(

It sounds like you folks that are getting a "broken image" type screen, need the JVM (JAVA Virtual Machine) installed.
Get it here... http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_xpi.jsp

good luck

After I had to do a "restore" I lost the ability to get into chat...then GW gave me the above link to download Java again and that was it! Jo

By the way, since DG went to new format I haven't even seen the chat room any more. Is it under some forum now or what? No, need for anyone to answer this. I found the answer in another forum. Thanks.

hemlady, the link to the chatroom only appears on the homepage now. So, click on the Home tab to view all the goodies that are there. :)

still no picture...nothing at all for me :(...

Manhattan Beach, CA(Zone 11)

There seems to be no visible reference to the Chat Room on my Homepage when it is closed.
I often don't see the forest for the trees, though. (No LOL)

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10b)

My Chatroom is Open shows up in Column 2 below the Custom Menu (search boxes) and the Fun Random Image and the Birthdays. Off screen for my teeny screen.

Be nice if were higher (below the Time) but maybe I am lost in the Dark Forest of Ulrich and just haven't ordered something properly.
