Guess who's going to Texas? Me :) Gotta go for work...unexpected. I'm in Grand Rapids, MI as I type this...working like a dog :( Oh well, I like the work....it's just a LOT of work this time! Apparently my co-worker is having trouble with the project (out of his control) in Texas (Plano), so I'll be on my way in a week or two, I suppose. I hadn't planned on going anywhere until Oct when another project was planned. I hate to be gone 2 weeks very close to each other, but oh well. The CEO resides in that office, so maybe I'll be able to earn some brownie points somehow ...lol

I'm sure I'll be flying on this trip. When I was stationed at Ft Polk LA, it took me 14 hours to drive straight through, only stopping for gas (got snacks and had potty break at gas station...lol).

I imagine it would be easily a 16 hour drive...way too much for me. About 8 is the max for me right now (Philidelphia would be an 8 hour drive...and I've gotta go there in Nov). I usually drive if I have to take equipment with me. If it were an 8 hour drive and I didn't need anything I couldn't take on the plane, I'd consider flying instead. I hate flying though...airports, waiting, etc. :(

lol...I'm sure we all enjoy our alone time now and then.

I don't know if I'd have time to seek out the round up if it's going on when I'm there. My boss and several other people I work with will be traveling to this location as well...so there might not be much time to get out and about. I know there's a lot of work. Oh well...just hoping the weather isn't too hot.

False alarm....maybe :) Boss and my peer may have things under control now. I need the rest...so it'll be good if I DON'T go...lol I've been putting in 12 hour days here...or longer :(
