Small (hopefully) Request

Dave, this probably only affects those of us still straddled with dial-up.

When I post a reply to a new thread, and get notified it's posted... and then choose to Watch the thread, this comes up:

I have to wait for the banner to re-load before I can see the tab go back to the Home Page. Would it be too hard to add another link Click here to return to the home page?

That would be a helpful link.

Please?
Great idea Darius!

It sounds like a fine idea, but I see a slippery slope forming. Do we want a "return to the homepage" link on every single page? That's what the tab (and the logo) is for.

It's not a big deal really... teaching me some patience!

Dave - I know we've been over this before, but the reason behind my request during beta test for keeping the tabs always visible at the top (frames was my suggestion & I know that's not something you are going to do), was that I've found that people want to have a way to get back to "Home" from any screen they are on without scrolling. Is there any other mechanics, besides the use of frames, that can accomplish the tabs always being visible?

I really don't want to do any trickery that floats the tabs on the top no matter where on the page you are. I've seen other sites do that, and I just don't like it. I'd prefer to leave it static and let the user scroll back up (or down) to find nav links.

I have no difficulty or problem what-so-ever getting to
the home page - no matter where I've wondered to !!

As was posted ... RE: That's what the tab (and the logo) is for.
