More Cool-Ties for Iraq.....

Since it felt so good to help our Military in Iraq by making and sending these Cool-Ties to them,
I brought it up to my Widowed Support Center of Ft. Huachuca, AZ. I thought it would be great to send them to our own guys over there. Since we work with the Chaplains office on this Army Base, I ran it by them and they agreed it would be a good project.

Now, we are a bunch of Old Ladies (smile when you say that, Buster) only about 4 of us still sew. Any help from you here at DG would be greatly appreciated. I already have 2 volunteers....Thank you Yardbird and Old-Rose.

Any of you wishing to make them use the same links that was on the other thread for the pattern. I will fill them with crystals if you will mail them to me.

Thanks......Jo

Hey, Jo... They sure could use a few thousand of those in the damaged area of Florida right now! Think what a boon for all the elderly in the heat and no homes...

Hey Jo.... Ties are done and will be mailed out Monday. Hope you like them. There was no camo print around here so they are solid brown kinda the color of the soldiers t-shirts.

Jo, I'm taking them to the post office today. I hope you have the labels to put on them, because I didn't have any. Gin

Interesting tidbit here, jo...
My daughter went to a yard sale today on her lunch hour. She said the woman had two brand new cool ties ( never been opened), made of camo material and she wanted 50 cents for them. DD told her what we were doing and she said her husband was in Iraq. Carolyn told her she should send them to him and she said she would. She had never thought to do that.

Just thought I'd pass that along....

Hey....that's great. Jo
