A lot of you know my Granddaughter, Amy, who is in the US Navy and was on the Abe Lincoln Aircraft carrier. Since some of you were kind enough to send things to her, I thought you might like to know that she is enjoying this latest cruize aboard the USS Stennet (sp). They were to go to The Gulf, but orders changed and she is doing time in Hawaii!! Japan!! and other interesting ports! She also spent some time in Alaska....so it is true "Join the Navy and see the WORLD!"

In her latest email this was on the bottom:

"tell dave and his garden i said
hello. i love you."

She has new orders for San Diego next spring....much closer to home!

Jo, it is great to hear she is doing well and getting to see the world. Will you get to visit with her when she gets to San Diego in the spring? Please extend to her a Heartfelt THANKS to her and all her shipmates that are serving our nation.

That is great! Maybe while they are in port they will have a family visitors day tour and you can see the non sensitives parts of the vessel. Or do they still do that these days?
