Sometimes when I pull up a thread I have to scroll from side to side to read it.
Then other threads fits my computer screen perfectly same day same time........what's up with this?

pages scrolling right and left
Can you give me an example of a thread you have to scroll back and forth?
Terry I will have to go back and find it. I can across two of them earler today but don't remember where they are now. I will look when I have a little more time.

I've seen it happen when someone puts a lot of ******** in a row or some other symbol. It all depends on where it starts in the sentence. It appears to not be able to break it as if it is a word that can't be broken in the middle to go to the next line. I've seen this happen a time or two in the brug forum and again in one other forum some time ago.
That seems to happen (quite often) when a picture has not been reduced to 640 x 480 or less.
Terry, this is one. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/446608/
Mmmmm, it's the same width as other threads, as far as I can tell...
Yep....looks normal width to me too.
It's stretched out for me...I've noticed this a lot, too. I didn't use to have to scroll back and forth before.
Perhaps it the settings that willowwasp and I have? I've kept mine on 640 x 480 pixels for years; makes it easier to read.
Hmmm...but then again, if it were my setting then this thread should also be stretched, and it isn't.
Could it be the post made by Judith on Aug 13, 20041:51 AM that made that other thread stretch?
Hummm, but there is a difference in width. You may not have to scroll back and forth to read the page but the page covers the entire screen and this page does not. You have about a 2 and a half inch empty space, that should be filled with something.
But that is not what I was refering to earlier, so far I have not found the threads that I had to scroll across to read and have not come across another. I am sure I will since I do from time to time.
Until then....
