Years ago they believed the female always ate the male after mating. Turns out they hadn't been feeding thier test subjects enough. If you start losing your population feed the girls some grasshoppers. They will take them from your hand. Frank
What we do is walk the fields in the fall and winter looking for the casings. We bring them back and put them among the plants in the greenhouse. They hatch and I have my buggie eaters!!!!!!!!
