Okay, I put it off long enough. I am always behind the camera, but I found this one from our cruise in June.
CLOSED: What do you look like?
I lost track of this thread for about the last week. It so GREAT to see everyone!
Hi Tazzy, Terrie, Brigette, sweezel, Karrie and Linda! Welcome back Cacolos!!
Thanks again Bill for starting this great thread.
dimmer anybody that is as pretty as you are should not stay in the background!!!
Nice to meet you, I am also a fellow michigander! You must be in upper michigan from your zone!
Alice
Gosh this is so much fun to see faces of all of our DG friends! Staci, you are a little doll! Those couldn't be your two girls standing with you -- you aren't old enough!
Dimmer, it is very nice to meet you!
Terrie
Thanks Terrie! You are quite a beauty, yourself. Yes, the red-head on the left is mine. She only has about 6 inches until she catches up with me! It's pretty easy to do when you are only 5' 0" though. Believe me, I hear the comments about my age all the time. The brunette on the right is my younger step-daughter who lives with her mom.
Hi,
I think you guys are way too nice.
Thanks,
Linda(bilyn)
Hi Tony and CaptMicha! So glad you posted your pictures. Gardners are getting younger and younger. LOL
Tony, I sent an envelope to you today.
Terrie
Howdy
Nice pix ...Good to put a face with a name too...lol
How many of you guys & gals were surprised after seeing pix? I know I have been in the past, After talking, emailing and trading you kinda have your own idea of what a person looks like...then you see the pic and SURPRISE!!! Nothing like you thought...But, It's all good..:-)
Heres a pic of me and my 3yr old grandson Kyle...
Hugs, Carol
Dixiechick are you sure that you are old enough to have a 3 year old grandson!!!
I will admit he is very handsome, but are you sure you didn't borrow him for the photo!!!!haha
CaptMicha
What a beautiful place behind you, now this thread is very very interesting , we can see each other.
aknapp, Thank you :-) But, It's true..He's the real thing and just to really get ya'll going heres a pic of my 6yr old grandson Lil' Adam (Kyles big Bubba)..
This is what happens when your young and think you have all the answers to life and find out later you knew NOTHING! lol...But I wouldnt change a thing now...Ain't life strange?
Another Lil' Charmer ;-)
Hugs, Carol
I really can relate to that I was only 39 when I got my first grandchild and I now have 8 that I love dearly. The oldest ones are twin girls who are now 17, and I am still trying to figure out where all those years have gone. The youngest is 8 and is just as adorable as the first ones.
Not that I am prejudice or anything.
The years now just pass by far too fast!!!!
I have tried in the last few years to just enjoy every minute possible!
Your grandchildren are extremely handsome!
Thanks so much for sharing the photos!
Alice
Hi, Melva! Nice to meet you. You live right up the road from me! (well, pretty close anyway)
Terrie
Beautiful, Melva! I don't have too much luck with roses and I don't really have a speciality but I'm really getting into daylilies now! I have ordered quite a few recently and am reworking my beds this weekend. I have posted some pictures of my gardens if you would like to see them. Just click on my name for threads I have started. BTW, is it that much colder in Denton than Plano (7a)? You're only about 25 miles from me.
Terrie
No not really, I am just in denial...actually Denton is more zone 8, I like to think it is zone 7/8 but I don't think that was an option, I can't remember...and I am North of you...
Hi Bill! This thread is going to get LONG! I'm not sure you really want to see my silly "mug".... but it's the least I can do since so many of the DG's are so sweet and sending me seeds to help with my dog problem! Hmmm... seems like I have tons of my "babies" (son, dog, cat... flowers), but nothing very recent of me. Ah, no matter I don't change.... except my hair color which I change more often than the seasons! Here's me in Dec. of last year (no screaming please!).
Hi Crimson! Your lovely! I just sent you an email & then I saw this. Now I can see who I just spoke to. :~)
Donna
Hello Crimson,
I don't think I will scream. Nice picture. Got your SASE seeds will go out on Tuesday.
Hey Sandy! Great to finally "see" you!! :-D
Just love seeing all these great DG people "in person"!!
OK, I finally have a pic that looks like me post-baby! I had pre-baby, pregnant, in labor, etc etc. I didn't realize until this thread that I had about 3 pics (all horrific) of me since my son was born!! He's 2 1/2 now - funny how things change once you have a child! Anyway, my DH took this last night. I have really enjoyed this thread! It's great to put a name to a face!
I was beginning to think this was "The Dating Game". LOL

Wow Jnette, not sure where that comes into play! LOL!! I have especially enjoyed seeing all the different people/ages/etc that are into gardening! Myself I inherited I believe from my grandmother "Mamaw" who passed away before I discovered this love. It MUST be from her! No one else in my family understands!
ncgardenaddict,
My love of gardening also came from my Mamaw, my mother's mother. It didn't skip generations, though. My mom loves to garden as much as I do. My Mamaw passed away three years ago and I am always thinking, "I wish Mamaw could see this" whenever I have something new blooming. It was a great gift to inherit, don't you think?
Terrie
Yes I do. I like you wish I could talk to her. For example, the dirt in her yard (my mom lives in her house) is still gorgeous! She has been gone many years so she had some skill!
nice to meet you all !!
Gosh, you people are all soooo young! Do you know all that tugging, carrying, digging and planting is going to go on your entire lifetime if you are not careful? It did for me. I am almost to the point where I don't plant anything that doesn't bloom in two years (almost). Nice to see you all!
Claire
Now that is a cute picture, Just look at all of those smilie faces facing the sun.
Ahhh, such an adorable pic se_eds .. !!!
It put a big ol smile on my face, just seeing yours gleeming
there .. from in amongst those beautiful sun flowers!!
You're lookin' like a retro flower child !! hee hee
Just love that pic!! Mitey special indeed ..
Continuity in gardening is part of the soul of life!
... No way anyone can mess up .. !!
Lookin' forward to 'seeing' you share more of your
expertise and wisdom about gardenin' .. and life.
- Mags
Oh I love that picture Claire ....Too cute...
Nope, no flower child - missed that by about 15 years. Have a son who almost made it. I'm just a regular ole Mom with six kids. Two of them who grew up during the flower power age/age of Aquarius
se_eds .. my use of .. 'retro' .. was in reference to 'similar to' a flower child, from the past .. with your being up in the sunflowers ... heee
