Okay, I put it off long enough. I am always behind the camera, but I found this one from our cruise in June.

Gosh this is so much fun to see faces of all of our DG friends! Staci, you are a little doll! Those couldn't be your two girls standing with you -- you aren't old enough!

Dimmer, it is very nice to meet you!

Terrie

McKinney, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks Terrie! You are quite a beauty, yourself. Yes, the red-head on the left is mine. She only has about 6 inches until she catches up with me! It's pretty easy to do when you are only 5' 0" though. Believe me, I hear the comments about my age all the time. The brunette on the right is my younger step-daughter who lives with her mom.

Hi,
I think you guys are way too nice.
Thanks,

I really can relate to that I was only 39 when I got my first grandchild and I now have 8 that I love dearly. The oldest ones are twin girls who are now 17, and I am still trying to figure out where all those years have gone. The youngest is 8 and is just as adorable as the first ones.
Not that I am prejudice or anything.
The years now just pass by far too fast!!!!
I have tried in the last few years to just enjoy every minute possible!

Your grandchildren are extremely handsome!
Thanks so much for sharing the photos!

In Texas, that is real close...we are neighbors...Have we actually met before at a Plant Swap, or something? What do you especially like to grow? My speciality is Roses.

Beautiful, Melva! I don't have too much luck with roses and I don't really have a speciality but I'm really getting into daylilies now! I have ordered quite a few recently and am reworking my beds this weekend. I have posted some pictures of my gardens if you would like to see them. Just click on my name for threads I have started. BTW, is it that much colder in Denton than Plano (7a)? You're only about 25 miles from me.
Terrie

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

No not really, I am just in denial...actually Denton is more zone 8, I like to think it is zone 7/8 but I don't think that was an option, I can't remember...and I am North of you...

Clarksville, TN(Zone 6b)

Hi Bill! This thread is going to get LONG! I'm not sure you really want to see my silly "mug".... but it's the least I can do since so many of the DG's are so sweet and sending me seeds to help with my dog problem! Hmmm... seems like I have tons of my "babies" (son, dog, cat... flowers), but nothing very recent of me. Ah, no matter I don't change.... except my hair color which I change more often than the seasons! Here's me in Dec. of last year (no screaming please!).

Hello Crimson,

I don't think I will scream. Nice picture. Got your SASE seeds will go out on Tuesday.

Franklin, WI(Zone 5a)

Here's a pic of me and my hubby from a couple weeks ago. And yes, I have a nose...this pic just doesn't show it! We've known each other since we were 14 and I'm probably the reason he has all that gray hair!

Hey Sandy! Great to finally "see" you!! :-D

Just love seeing all these great DG people "in person"!!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

OK, I finally have a pic that looks like me post-baby! I had pre-baby, pregnant, in labor, etc etc. I didn't realize until this thread that I had about 3 pics (all horrific) of me since my son was born!! He's 2 1/2 now - funny how things change once you have a child! Anyway, my DH took this last night. I have really enjoyed this thread! It's great to put a name to a face!

Since I have traded with some of you, I thought I would join in. This is one of the few pictures I could find of me alone. I usually am taking the pictures.

Wow Jnette, not sure where that comes into play! LOL!! I have especially enjoyed seeing all the different people/ages/etc that are into gardening! Myself I inherited I believe from my grandmother "Mamaw" who passed away before I discovered this love. It MUST be from her! No one else in my family understands!

Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

ncgardenaddict,
My love of gardening also came from my Mamaw, my mother's mother. It didn't skip generations, though. My mom loves to garden as much as I do. My Mamaw passed away three years ago and I am always thinking, "I wish Mamaw could see this" whenever I have something new blooming. It was a great gift to inherit, don't you think?
Terrie

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Yes I do. I like you wish I could talk to her. For example, the dirt in her yard (my mom lives in her house) is still gorgeous! She has been gone many years so she had some skill!

Merced, CA(Zone 9a)

Oh, how fun, and sooo glad to see you guys, Baa, Laurrie, Donna, everyone. I can't resist. This is Anne and daughter.

Gosh, you people are all soooo young! Do you know all that tugging, carrying, digging and planting is going to go on your entire lifetime if you are not careful? It did for me. I am almost to the point where I don't plant anything that doesn't bloom in two years (almost). Nice to see you all!

Ahhh, such an adorable pic se_eds .. !!!
It put a big ol smile on my face, just seeing yours gleeming
there .. from in amongst those beautiful sun flowers!!

You're lookin' like a retro flower child !! hee hee
Just love that pic!! Mitey special indeed ..

Continuity in gardening is part of the soul of life!
... No way anyone can mess up .. !!
Lookin' forward to 'seeing' you share more of your
expertise and wisdom about gardenin' .. and life.

Oh I love that picture Claire ....Too cute...

Millersburg, PA(Zone 6b)

Nope, no flower child - missed that by about 15 years. Have a son who almost made it. I'm just a regular ole Mom with six kids. Two of them who grew up during the flower power age/age of Aquarius

NW Qtr, AR(Zone 6a)

se_eds .. my use of .. 'retro' .. was in reference to 'similar to' a flower child, from the past .. with your being up in the sunflowers ... heee
