Trying to find this. Can anyone help?

Navarre (NW FL), FL(Zone 8b)

I'm looking for an old thread where someone here explained the process of modifying a florescent light fixture to make it put out twice as much light. It had something to do with the wiring. It was a safe process and they explained how to do it. I would appreciate any help at all in trying to find this. I've looked but no luck.

Was it this? http://davesgarden.com/t/421556/

Elsie,
Thanks for the thread but that's not it. The one I'm thinking about dealt more with converting a dual ballast fixture and switching everything over to only use one ballast or something to that effect. The person explaining it made it sound like a cake walk. I really wish I had saved that thread. Any other guesses? Thanks again elsie.

Notmartha,
That seems to deal more with the regular lighting rather than florescent. Thanks for your guess though.

I think this might be it - look for Maineman's Jan. 25 post: http://davesgarden.com/t/406582/

Terry,
You are awesome. Thanks so much. That's what I was looking for. Thank you all for trying to help. I had been pulling my hair out over this lol. I can finally start preparing for our winter.

You're welcome. But now I AM wondering just what winter you might be referring to? Navarre is in the FL pandhandle right near PC and Destin, yes? WINTER? WHAT winter? You mean that nano-second cool breeze that happens every third year, sometime in late January? (hehehehehehe ;o)

Terry,
I'm new here. I moved here a year a go and hope that every year the winter will be as mild as this last one. I keep getting different info from the locals though so I'm preparing for the worst. I hope it's just as you say it will be. I think I'm going to just use the sunroom for the plants if I have to bring anything in. I just need to supplement the lighting. It's double pane glass and it really blocks out the light.
