Referers broken on some member pages for me

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10b)

Whenever I visit some member's page and try to click on their personal website, I end up right in the exact same spot looking at their DG member page! Now this is only with some of them not all. Why is this happening?

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

It's not referrers, it's because of how the URL's were entered by the members and how the form makes them display.

For instance, if I just enter my homepage as gardenwife.com in my Member Page Preferences, the URL posts like this on my DG homepage (spaces added by me):

http: / / davesgarden.com/members/gardenwife/gardenwife.com

However, if I enter the complete URL, http:// gardenwife.com, it displays correctly on my member page:

http://gardenwife.com

Doesn't that seem a little buggy, Dave? Could that go on a todo?

I think that I get it but it has kept me from going to homepages sometimes.

This is fixed in the beta site, so all will be well after the launch.

Woo! :)

Daisyavenue - One the incorrectly formatted ones, try this:

1. right-click on the hyperlink to the person's homepage
2. select "copy link location"
3. click once in the address bar of your browser, so the current URL is all highlighted
4. right-click the highlighted text and select "paste"
5. this pastes the homepage's URL in the address bar
6. delete everything preceding the person's homepage addy

On the example I gave earlier, you'd delete everything I've underlined here, leaving only the text of the homepage address at the end, which I've made bold.

http: / / davesgarden.com/members/gardenwife/gardenwife.com

Then hit enter. Hope that helps until the new rollout! :)
