Castor Bean Plant

N.C. Mts., NC(Zone 6b)

My Great grand daughter is coming, so I cut off all the seeds from the plants. They aren't ripe yet, but afraid she might get out of my sight a second and get them. My question, is it safe to burn the seeds outside??? I love the plants. just can't take a chance.

Can you limb them up above her reach if you are worried about her putting a leaf in her mouth?unless you have a ton of seeds,I would just put them in the trash,I am not sure about burning them,so I can give no help on that, sorry.

Liz...you COULD let the dogs roam the acreage and let her play in that nice fenced in area you have for the dogs that can't get along with my sweet little Tessa...LOL

Thanks NM. --- Root, She is only 3 yrs, old, so she won't be outside alone. There is something about the seeds that made me afraid to leave them on. There are a couple that we might walk close to, I will pull up. Thanks so much.

Good,I would hate to worry, let me know if you need seeds, mine did not set seed well after pulling pods this late last year,so this year,I am letting them all pod.
Have fun with that little one!

Jo, I missed your post. It did come in handy while you were here. When you put Babe inside the fence, she sits & whines, unless you go in and play with her.
