PDB Picture upload time?

I have uploaded a picture, twice, to the PDB, but it has yet to appear (yesterday and again today).

How long does it normally take for a picture to be uploaded? Would I be contacted if "they" didn't accept my picture? (I'm not sure why "they" wouldn't since it's the only picture of a flower for this plant that is in the PDB).

I have attached a copy of the picture below. It's not perfect, but it shows the flatness of the flowers of S. p. var. koreana quite nicely. The flowers of Stewartia pseudocamellia are quite cupped when they are open completely.

There is an entry in the PDB for Stewartia koreana, but from what I have read there is not enough difference between the form from Japan and the form from Korea to give the Korean form its own species designation. The major differences are that the Korean form is one zone hardier (zone 4a instead of zone 5a), the flowers of the Korean form are much flatter and slightly larger than the Japanese form.

Otherwise, the trees are identical and for the few differences noted above, species designation is not deserved for the Korean form.

The pictures are kept and released a few at a time. You can go the the pdb site and see the pictures you have that have not been released. Go to the pdb then click on your member page. Then click on images pending.

And also, Terry is out of town this week so I am the manager of the PDB in her absence. That means pictures will take even longer than usual to be posted. :-)

Thanks for the warning about the duplicate posting. I'll ensure that one of them gets declined.

Baa you have to go to the PDB. Then click on your member page from there. It will show you on the page with everything you have added to the database etc. If you have any pending images it will show you there.

Ahhh so it only shows up when you have submitted photos in the queue! thanks Mystic much appreciated
