Finding other subscribers? Hooking up w/ other plant freaks?

Kirksville, MO(Zone 5a)

Good Morning Everyone!

I am having so much fun exploring the site! My knowledge of plants is expanding rapidly, and it is a comfort to know I can get an answer from this site when I need one.

I am wondering if there is a way to find other subscribers in my area? I sent a couple of emails to people I found in my zone, but no replies. :(

Our local gardening club seems to be, well, "not very active." Any ideas on starting a club, or group via this website? Or has this been explored?

Longing for some plant pals,

Go over to the right of the screen and click on member list and it will have a map and click on your state and it will list all the members in your state. Have fun and welcome to Dave's.

Here is another solution....You are close enough (heck, I'm in AZ and I'm close enough) to attend the annual Dave's Garden Round up in Cadiz, KY.....Sept. 25th & 26....go to the Round Up Forum to check out all the round ups...we like nothing better than meeting other Dave's Gardeners!! We would love to meet you too. Jo

WOW, that sounds like FUN! I will ask my friend Sarah to come with me, she is my "expert" on call! (She took the master gardener course, and has a FABULOUS gardening library!)

Please direct me to more complete details regarding this event! I am going to start saving my pennies ASAP!

:)

Thanks for the terrific advice/idea!

Kim here is the link to part 3 of the planning but I am pretty sure there will be links to the beginning in there somewhere.
