Plant sales!!!!

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

We are having plant sales here also Lemonade and cookies sale tomorrow and saturday! I have been trimming on my plants and seprate them and repotting them.. Boy too many to keep.. so I decided to have plant sale! Tonight, we are going to put up the posters and get ready for tomorrow. We do have good traffic down the road also end of the road (highway).

Any suggestion. I was thought about here DG.. do you think that I should make copy on business card to give people who come and let them know about here DG and encourge them to check it out. I would add website address on the business card?

Wish me luck!

Mini,

Good luck with your plant sale. (I sell plants from my yard on a regular basis) You will meet lots of very nice people. I find having a plant sale ends up being a gardening social event!

Hope your plant sale went well. I used to have one yearly, but have skipped a few years now. I always made signs for each plant with their photo, growing needs, height ect on them and think this really helped with the sale. I used 8"X10" very heavy poster board taped to a stake beside the plants and keep them from year to year. I also always made stakes for each plant with the name, height, sun requirements on it so that the buyers would know when they got home how to care for the plants.

It went well on two days ( friday and saturday). Boy, it was so hot on that both day. LUcky, we had Plant/Garage Sale on our front porch. I don't have much of stuff but small stuff but I made some $$.

You won't believe how much my MIL, SIL made on that day. They made $500.00 They had big garage sale at MIL's house last fri, sat and even yesterday. I told them that I wish I had brought all my stuff over there but I don't feel like to bring all stuff and bring them back.. too much trouble for me plus the weather have been very HOT and humidity!
