cleaning wood blinds

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

I hate cleaning my 2" wood blinds. If I did it over again I would go faux wood as I could clean with a WET rag. How do you clean your wood blinds? I have meant to order some white cotton gloves for such a job.

My cleaning lady uses a damp rag & something I think is called Murphy's Oil? Soap? I know it's Murphy's, anyway.

I don't have wooden blinds, but she uses it to clean all my wood surfaces and good furniture, and it looks great. All nice and clean and shiny again. It takes off the grime, dust, and whatever, and makes wood look like new again.

Just MHO. I can no longer do it for myself, and didn't know about it when I could.

I don't know where she buys it, maybe it's in cleaning supplies, at supermarket, Walmart, etc.

Someone probably has more info. I won't see her again until next Wed. I'll try to remember to ask her.

Murphy's Oil Soap works well. I've never used it on blinds, but I know it's great for wood. Just follow the directions well and don't use too much, or it won't rinse off right.
