Wild animals in Brug Valley :-)

St. Louis, MO(Zone 6b)

While visiting with Ludger in Brug Valley I took some pictures of the wild life in the area - as well as some other pics. Here they are. I also posted elsewhere so they are not new to some of you.

This is one of the 5 wild lions which prowl the area outside Ludger's home in the countryside.

This is an Alaska Brown Bear. Caution, it will lick you to death if you get too near.

This is a group of wild vultures, resting after eating one of the neighbor's cows.

Glad you came back safe...if not sane ;)

This is the curator of the zoo looking for more brugs to plant in his forest. He can't figure out how to get them all in the boot of his Volkswagon.

I departed Ludger's modest home and returned to New York. He keeps a guard outside his cottage to keep the animals from attacking strangers passing by.

There are beasties great and small
Guarding Ludger's modest Hall
Beasts with fur and beasts with feathers
Beasts to bite through toughest leathers
So wear your boots and pot your brugs
Just watch out for these wiley thugs!

Good to see you Padre; enjoyed the tour. And best wishes to the zookeeper!

Padre, you are too funny! And, Hugs to the Zookeeper even though he isn't here on DG anymore. I SO enjoyed meeting him in Georgia last fall.

Padre, that's one ferocious looking lion. You are so brave to have gotten that close. he he
