Option to see more threads on a forum page?

Southwestern, OH(Zone 6b)

Dave,

Is there any way to set how many threads to see on a single page of a forum? Default, 50, 75, 100? Similar to viewing feedback in ebay, or emails in Yahoo?

Sometimes there are so many photo posts, that the "conversation" or question posts get moved to the second or third page. I think having a choice of how many to see on the pages of the forum would be awesome! (Realizing it might take the page longer to load)

I'd really like this feature. I'm lazy about using/clicking BACK (as Dave has heard from me on that in the Journal). I have a scroll button on my mouse and I much prefer it to clicking. I like sites where I can customize the way I view or navigate. Just seems a little more personalized and accomodating to me.

My vote is in if that helps!

Edited to say this would be nice in the PDB too, but can't remember if we have Preferences in there or not.

Would this work for the PDB also ya think?

Well, that's that! This feature is finished and it wasn't terribly easy.

You can click on "Preferences" in the menubox and then right on that page, select how many entries to view per page. The default is 20 (which is what it always was) but you can change it to 40,60,80, or 100.

Please test it and let me know how it goes!

Dave - THANKS!!!! :-D For a not so "easy" feature you sure did get it done quick!! 4 days, 6 minutes!! How cool is that?!! Going to test drive it now!

4 days, 6 minutes is a record long-time (from agreement to completion), I think. :)

LOL!

I just test drove it Dave and asked to see 100 threads per page. Didn't work. I then thought "Dummy, you gotta logout and back in again." So I did that and still didn't work. So then I figured I needed to close and restart my browser. Did that and still didn't work.

I noticed whenever I went back into my Preferences it was at 20 threads per page again. Is that normal to show it as a default or should it show what I changed it to---in this case 100?

Brenda

You have to submit the page to save your changes. Did you do that?

dave

Never mind, I found the problem. Please set the preference again and it'll work this time.

Kewl!! That did the trick Dave. 60 threads seems to be close to the length of the right navigation bar. Perfect!!

As always Dave, "You da man!!!"
