Kyle, these planters are all gorgeous. Oh to have a greenhouse and unlimited budget for plants. LOL! Great job.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Kyle, the parking garage closeup? What is the ear? Tell me that's not a Nancyana. Please.

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Can you tell me which ones are planted in front of the ING building? I love all of your planters. You've done an amazing job. I love that lime green sweet potato vine, but I can't grow it here because it is a whitefly magnet.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Liz ..it is nancys revenge..easy to grow here and gets huge!4 foot leaves last year.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Clare, it has black knight canna, purple wave petunias, lemon yellow lantana, melampodiums, red salvias, and silver licorice vines.

How many plants do you get in every year to do these plantings Kyle? It must be like being a kid in a candy store.

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Thanks, Kyle. I love the purple, yellow, and silver shades together. I just planted a section of my garden with those colors. Can I tap your brain and your talent for a minute? Can you suggest anything for this area? I have Alyogyne huegelii, Tibouchina, Iochroma, and another darker purple Alyogyne huegelli here with dusty miller in front. Between them is Buddleia asiatica, which will grow into tall, slightly weeping trees. Should I try to fill in more things to make it look fuller? Thanks in advance.

Eclipse, thanks for sharing your beautiful planters!

All those flowers combination look divine

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Absolutely gorgeous, Kyle!

The favorite combo that I tried this year has been Sunray brugmansia planted with Ace of Spades sweet potato under it. Sunray hasn't bloomed yet (we have buds!), but the lime green new foliage on it really pops against the Ace of Spades! I like it SOOOOO much better than the Blackie sweet potato.

Clare try some black mono grass near the front of the bed or any other color of Mondo grass. It comes in several colors now.I have an alternathera that stays very clump like..its leaves are silver green with white edges.Makes a small but pretty ball like plant. see pic..they are along the edge of the bed to the left of the caladiums.

Very pretty. Thanks so much for all the inspiration. I love that alternathera, and I'll get some Mondo grass. I like it! I think I'd like to try some variegated yellow Nasturtiums and Plectranthus coleoides variegata, variegated Swedish Ivy, also to fill in some of the space since I have that already in my garden and can move it. Thanks again! You're amazing!

Edited to fix spelling.

Liz, I grow cuttings for most of our use,we do order a few new things each year. The caladiums we order new each year.I keep stock plants of many of the exotics we use.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

I may have to take a trip to Des Moines just to look at your plantings! I have never seen anything like this in the midwest! How often are the ones in pots watered? I'm out of "ground" space in my yard, so am thinking of starting a tropical garden in pots in my driveway. Mostly cannas and castor beans to start with. Do you think they would do Ok with about half day sun on concrete? Thanks for sharing your photos. Your yard is fantastic as well as the public plantings!

Kyle, they are all just beautiful. I bet folks come there just to see these planters. DM is very lucky!

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Are we to expect pineapples next year?

Kyle...your plantings are gorgeous! You could make a fortune here doing containerscaping!!! (which is a practical alternative when your house is on a bed of lava!!).

But then...you are half Hawaiian anyway...aren't you? At least the green hands!

Wowser! Truly awesome combos, my favorite colors too. I took a few shots at the Missouri Botanical Gardens (MOBOT) of pot arrangements that caught my eye but I think you could show them a thing ot two!
Too bad you can't just roll those big pots indoors somewhere to save them from the cold.

A nice clump of Black Magic but if they had done a nicer mix like yours I think it would have looked more stunning, a rich tapestry of color!
