Recipe Equivalents for International Members

Spokane Valley, WA(Zone 5b)

I recently started a "Zones for International Members" in this Forum, for which I am appreciate at the response. Since I also want to share recipes, I had to start this one. :)

I live in the States, and read in the back of one of my cookbooks today that, in Australia, "1 tablespoon equals 20 ml, and there are 4 teaspoons in the Australian tablespoon." Here in the States, by the same source, 1 tablespoon equals 15 ml, and there are 3 teaspoons in a tablespoon. This could be a problem when converting US recipes for those who live outside of the States, and vice-versa, especially when baking. And that's only a start. :)

Does anyone know of a website that offers such equivalents for folks like me that want to share recipes successfully with my friends throughout the world?

Hi TuttiFrutti,

I like this site:

Wow, Dave, that's a fabulous site!

Oh boy oh boy oh boy... I've been needing one of these for a LONG time, 'cause I don't just garden and cook. :)

Thank you!
Donna
