Our youngest daughter, whom some of you met at the KY roundup last year, had a baby boy at 12:43 Kentucky time today. He is healthy, and hungry and so is his mother! His father has a grin that I could see through the telephone wire.

Kathleen, What a joy it is to have a new addition to the family! My Blessings that he will grow in good health with much love and affection. Somehow we rediscover who we are as we share family with a little one.

Lisa, I guess I've been grinning pretty much since I got the call!
Congratulations and glad both mom and baby are fine.
Congratulations Kathleen!! Hope you get to see Jacob soon.
Congrats to the whole family! He's a much wanted and waited for little boy, and is now a part of a wonderful family.
Congrats Kathleen to you and family. Where are the pictures?
Heh, heh, heh....got off the phone with Kathleen a few minutes ago...she's packing the car for a trip South right now! Hopefully, we'll get to hook up too.
Kathleen, I hope you get this message (I also will e-mail you): please, call me when you will be going through, and stop in for a quick (or long) visit! Please!!!!!! Kathy
We are here - pulled in about 4:30 yesterday afternoon. Jacob is a little bundle of cute! His mom is walking and moving around and everything! I'm impressed.
The farm, of course, won't stay put for 5 minutes. We got a call this mrning that there was a horrendous thunderstorm and all the lights in the barn blew out. The rest of the electical seems to be ok, though, so WE'RE staying put for a couple of days.
I'll let you all know when I get back home. Or Melody will give you and update, I'm going to call her here in a little bit.
Kathleen, I just found this thread and am pleased as punch for you. I know that they will be such wonderful parents. I can hardly wait to see pictures. I also hope that we will get a chance to see the whole family at KYRU. I just love little babies, especially grandbabies, as I think most of us mothers do. Congratulations to all, especially the baby for coming into such a wonderful and loving family.
We drove down to Melissa's house yesterday and visited with everyone. Mom and baby are doing great. Kathleen was talking about how hot it was....and it was only in the 80's.
Anyway, she says that she probably won't post till she gets back home, and to thank everyone for their kind invitations to visit as she heads back North. They really feel that they need to spend as little time on the road as possible, so they won't be stopping. The big storm caused some damage at the dairy farm and they want to see about that as soon as possible. Nothing major, as she said in the above post, but they feel they don't need to take any side trips this time.
Melissa had her sewing, so she's having a great time. It was sure nice to visit face to face, as Kathleen and I have more in common than my real life sisters do. It's amazing how much alike we are.
It is wonderful that you got in a great visit with Kathleen, Mel. Man, I don't ever take DG for granted because some of the people that I love most in the world I have met here. Melody, you are right at the very tippy top (the angel on the tree) of that list, but you know that already I feel sure.
I hope everything is "fixable" at the beautiful farm ya'll have, Kathleen and Stan. I LOVE it there...take care of HRH Princess Jo (I'll bet she is giving more butterfat than any other cow in your dairy herd!) Jo
