Great critter story, Tazzy! Be patient...raccoon families can be LARGE... I usually leave them in peace out in the garden, but last year they just started digging up ALL my flower beds, so I started live-trapping them and hauling them away, and gave up after NINE in two weeks. Besides, some of them started acting like they knew me... I know I hauled them too far away for them to walk back but I suspect other people are also trapping them and dropping them off on our dead-end road. I linked this true "critter in the house" story I posted on another garden forum previously on DG, but it just seems to fit so well on this thread I'm taking the liberty of re-linking it... it involves a squirrel, the ex-girlfriend of a dynamite salesman, and a pair of fireplace gloves.

zone loved the story thanks for link i laugh it is so funny ,when its not you standing there in a big smile .mama always said wear clean under wear. mine to my kids is always sleep in clothes never know when you have to rush out in snow with wild critter in hand.
