Hi everyone from Alaska..
We Finally made it here. My sickness helt us up for a couple of weeks.
It took us 15 days to get here but we stopped a lot.
Already we have flown over the mountains in a private plane & flew over the glasiers.. WOW what a site.
You should see the flowers here.
Better get going but will check in every once in awhile as we will be here till about Sept. I love it here
In Alaska
Wonderful! so glad you made it safely! Take lots of pix!!!
Sounds absolutely wonderful, hope you will be able to share photos.
Hey, you're there! You and Greenwood are so blessed to be able to enjoy this trip together. Please keep posting to this thread and share your adventures with us. We've gotta live vicariously through you guys this summer! ;)
Nice to hear that people from Florida visit in Alaska. I havent never been in Alaska, but it sure might be an experience. Finland with mountains:)
Well, have a great trip, and come home safe.:) Experience a lot.
I looked through our many pix we took so far & liked this one. Right now I don't have a way to reduce it (yet)
We woman had a candle party & the men went flying last nite. Maybe I can get in on another flight.. sure I can if they don't go to a very remote cabin they have. I don't think that is my cup of tea *LOL* The newer cabin I mite go along. It is nice just being here with everyone.
I'm not sure where this pix was taking..just one of the visitor centers we visited.

Awsome, GREAT photo!
I am sorry you were sick! I am so thrilled you did it though, that you went!!! Lucky you!
Wow, what a gorgeous view. DG resizes large pictures automatically, so it came through just right.
lucky you's beautiful... my family is going in aug.. would be so nice.. so beautiful there..
My expert (our Aunt) isn't here so I'm not sure where this was taken. She has traveled these roads so many times she can tell U what is around the curve.. it is only 5000 miles.
There was a lot of smoke over the mountains so some aren't as clear as they could be.

Your June 27 pic makes me wish to be there w/rock hammer. Maine is one of the worst places on the planet to look for fossils. At the base of a cliff, kick some rocks around. You might find ferns or even bugs embeded in them. I'll buy them. Market value. Bugs only, I got ferns up the wazoo.
Alaska has to be one of the most beautiful experiences ever: from the people to the country to the.... When I met my husband he has just sailed around the world...I asked him, "What was the most beautiful place you visited?"...he answered Alaska. That says something! We spent 6 months there on a sailboat and loved it. I would go back in a heartbeat! How lucky you were,Sugar_fl.
