Yep! Any pictures of every day live would be much appreciated. Rural areas like farms, rivers, fishing, etc.
Gumlla, imway2dumb and others -- you might enjoy a website Howie and I learned of this year: http://trekearth.com is the name. People from all over the world post their photos and talk about their cultures. Several DG members post pictures there including Chamma, Sandpiper, Howie and myself. I bet they'd like seeing your photos, too.
But we get 'em first! ;)

Okay will try for pictures of rural areas .

Thanks for the link , but first I will post my pictures on DG for all of you.
gumlla, That is one of the things I love about the Eastern cultures which are very ancient compared to our culture: They revere their elderly and treat them as a treasures! You couldn't have said something closer to my heart. Thank you. We need to roll back the years in our thinking here in this country to when a family took care of their older, wiser, parents and grandparents. I moved home to take care of my mother last year. I am pleased that I made that decision. I was widowed very young in life (age 22) and left with a little boy to raise. My parents were very supportive then. I lived alone and worked to take care of myself and my son, but my parents were always there for me spiritually and physically to encourage me to keep going when I felt my life was over with the death of my husband. Thank you so much for sharing your culture, your photos and your views. I learned so many wonderful things in the East! Bless you and all the DG'ers who share so much!
Yes. What took us to the Middle east in the 1980's and 1990's was that My husband at that time use to work in the Oil and Gas industry. He worked in both Jeddah and Kuwait City at the oil refineries. I taught school at both Kuwait University and an International school in Saudi Arabia and Japan. What a priviledge. Your photos are wonderful! And the recipes devine!

Yes in East we love our old citizens and live together in a home , We think these are the blessing of God, As these are experienced in family matters and every one give them respect. I am also living with my mother and father both are above 60 but we all are very happy .Actually the love which give grandfather or grand mother to his grand son/daughter,that love no one can give .
And mother/father also taken care of us , now when they need our affections/attensions then why we leave them for the toes of others.
So we love our old citizens too much.
This is my opinion: I think in our western culture, many have come to put the blame for personal failures onto their parents. People become adults, but are still angry children inside, and don't want to get past those feelings and take responsibility for their adult actions. As a consequence, when elders need their children the most, the children are emotionally unable to cope with the pain and avoid it.
You hit the nail right on the head GW!
Here we dont have old houses, our senior citezens are living with their famlies, Yes in 2% families we are facing the same problem , But here we can punish our kids in homes and in schools, so from the start, kids know if they did/adopted bad things/habbits, they will be punished. So kids follow the rules of family.
Kaleem,
I found this thread while doing a Google search for Pakistan! I enjoyed looking at the photos you posted over a year ago. Does your neighborhood look the same?
Peace be with you,
Jody
