Things to do on a Gardening Trek
TC, that is so charming. Where is that particular gazebo located? I love the 'country garden" charm of it. I am a "country gardener" in all of my yard but the front. I like the garden to look like Mother Nature planted it with a little help from us. the front is a little more formal than the sides and back of my yard. DH likes things orderly in the garden so we compromised and the front yard is more like he wants it and the back and sides are mine. I got most of the yard!!!!..but that IS Fair cause it is what I want. Right? What better reason could there be?
Those are the only kinds of bunnies my dogs will allow in my yard. They don't nibble away at your favorite plants either. I like to put them and my other critters in cute places to get a laugh from folks who go though my garden. If my camera is working right after a vacation with the batteries out for a few days, I will take some picture of some of my cute animals that are skulking all over my yard. I hope I can take pictures and post them and that my camera isn't SICK! Talk about needing a caffine fix! I don't know how to spend a day without taking pictures. It has become a real addiction with me. I guess that CHOCOLATE will be the only thing to relieve some of the anxiety until the camera is well again.
Elena, the gazebo is in gw's folks yard. Isn't it gorgeous?
I love that gazebo, TC. It truly is gorgeous. They have done a great job with the landscaping and flowers in the surrounding area.
Their yard is gorgeous. The gazebo is oval-shaped and that's the narrow view of it. Here's one of the wide side: http://davesgarden.com/t/245138/
I just looked at the other picture. That gazebo is the prettiest model I have ever seen. What a treasure. The plants around it make it look like it just steped out of "Gone With the Wind".
That is really cool. Wow!
That picture was taken quite some time ago, so the hostas have grown up some. What you can't see from the picture is that this is all built on the side of a hill. On the other side of the deck, you can see fern and hosta growning below. It's sheltered above by dogwood trees. Gee, I wonder where my love of gardening came from. :)
I WANT A GAZEBO - I NEED A GAZEBO - I MUST HAVE A GAZEBO! And, just think about it, this morning before I saw all the pictures of those beautiful structures I hadn't ever thought of such a thing!
I was still chuckling about the rooted 'pants' on another thread when I read about your parents' 'growning' ferns and hostas, smilin32. lol Typos can sure make ya giggle!!
*giggle* *giggle* *chuckle* *snort*
Is that "growning" or "groaning"?? LOL!
Maybe I don't study my threads enough to see the spelling and grammar errors in them. I wonder if smiln32 will return here to correct hers?
TC...

TC,
It's such a joy to see your posts. So glad that we have become such good friends. I can call you a "skunk" on this thread just as I could when we were together last weekend.
P.S. I can edit this post as quickly as you can edit yours, so better keep on your toes, buddy.

That is so sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it!
Thats one you need to frame, I love that pic.
Awww, that is a good one. :) No body, love it!
We have family here this next whole week, Howie's sister and her two kids. Her hubby's driving up at the end of the week and they'll all drive home together. Wish you guys could have met them - you'd love 'em.
If they are anything like you two, we'd love them for sure. I just had such a delightful time at your place. I want to go on another road-trip!
Sounds good to me too!

Hey, no fair! You just got back! I can't stand it if you go on another one this soon and I just have to sit and watch!
You are such a monkey, LOL.

Oh, my goodness!!!! After all this time. I can't believe it. Oh, what stories could that cat tell of her own gardening trek. Wow. I'm so happy for your mom, Kimberly. What a relief to have her home again. Thanks so much for posting this!
~Carla
Your cat looks decidedly shame-faced, TC. He's forgiven you since then, I'm sure. ;)
Yes, he really didn't mind being the center of attention that day, even if he had to endure the stuffed-animal-on-the-head pose I put him in.
