serious stuff

I stopped by the salvation army store today to see if they had any flower pots or old table knives to use for plant markers. While I was in there I overheard an employee speaking with a lady and her very young daughter. The Employee was saying to the little girl that she was very smart to tell her mommy and that she had done the right thing. Well, me being the snoop that I am approched the women later in the store to find out what had happened. She said that a man had just flashed her young daughter of about three I'd say. The little girl didn't say anything until the man left the store. It was too late to find him but the employee said she knew who he was and that he came in there often and that they would report this incident to the police. If it had been my little girl I would be runnig down the street to catch the SOB before he did something worse. I just can't believe what this world is coming to. I mean to do that to a little girl is so dang scary. I'm so glad that my daughters are grown with children of their own now. Now I worry for my grandchildren. I do hope they catch this animal before he hurts or flashes anyone else. It's a very scary world out there now. Not like when I was growing up many moons ago.
I just wanted to pass this along to warn all the parents out there that there are some horrible creatures out there just waiting for that next unattended child. Keep them close to you . Please.

Oh, that's awful. I'm glad they know who he is and will report him. When I was little, a man pulled up next to me in his car and exposed himself to me after he acted like he needed directions. That incident could have ended up so much worse than it was -- thank God he peeled away when I screamed.

Those are terrible stories. I can't belive those things happen so often. Back when I was working, I was in the middle of a haircut, when the ladies little girl came over and asked her to take her to the bathroom. Well I didn't think anything about it because parents alway take their children. When the lady got back, she apologized for the interruption, and told me that her daughter has a scary experience in a public restroom, and is afraid to go alone. She didn't go into it, and I was afraid to ask for more info. I'm just as horrified today telling this, and I was when I first heard it.

Hope that they get him! Wish that we had a world where moms ( and aunties) did not have to worry about this stuff happening.

I don't know about you all, but I can remember riding my bike after dusk with no worries and taking long walks down deserted roads, walking with my friends down town to the movie theater in the evening, going to the park at night with friends just to play and have fun because it was cooler then. Now you can't even go to the grocery store without your children glued to your side. What has happened here to make this world such a scary place to live in? I sure wish I could find a time machine and turn back the hands of time in more ways then one. Heheh.

When I was a little girl, I had a paper route. One day, when I went collecting for the paper, I knocked on a door. An old fat ugly man showed up in a towel, dropped the towel and said "come on in". I ran as fast as I could, all the way home, and told my mother. That was the end of my paper route. We found out later that he had been in prison for molesting his daughter. We reported the incident to the police and they picked him up. There are some real sickos out there and you need to keep a close eye on your children.
