Padre's Birthday

It is so nice to hear from so many of you on my birthday (born in 1930 - you figure it out :-) I am in Cyprus now, having a loooooooong needed holiday. This past year was very draining in many ways - but I'm recovering on schedule. Over 80 of my brugs are flowering. The horrendus mite infection is under control. I will visit Egypt next week, then back to London and then off to Brugvalley for a few days :-) Right now my biggest problem is how to tan the remaining few square inches :-) . I'll get back on line when I return home. Now it's POOLTIME ! Love to all, Padre

Mitjo, When I taught on the maritime training ships from New York, Maine and Bergen, Norway [three masted sailing ship] I got to Europe about 15 times, visiting port cities mostly. I visited Finland in 1972. Didn't see you around then :-) Yes, it is an exciting life, but you only go around once so enjoy the trip!!

Isn't Cyprus in Asia? Hmm.. It belongs to the European Union anyway. It's one of the in-Europe-or-not countries with the Kaukasus states I guess.. :D

We've been having hot temps here - 45c in the shade, we put the termometer in the sun and it went up to 120f, that's as far as it will go, so who knows how hot it is getting
