I have an audio book by Jeffrey Archer: Sons of Fortune
Im interested in trading for something different. I paid $32 from Barnes and Noble. Yikes I know....I had to take a long trip and the library wasn't open!
It would be worth the 32 if we could start some kind of audio book trade.
Anyone?

Anyone here listen to audio books?
I LOVE Harry Potter audio book by Jim Dale. It is quite a performance. I read somewhere that Jim Dale holds a world record for creating and recording 134 different
and distinguishable character voices in Order of Phoenix, the 5th Harry Potter book.
Sorry. I would never trade my Harry Potter. But I have others. I could email you what I have.
Good idea about trading audiobooks. I don't have many of my own - I get them from the library. I wish our library offered eBooks like some more progressive ones do. They must expire after so many days or something. I like reading on my PDA.
Howie and I adore Tom Bodett's audiobooks for his "End of the Road" series. The James Herriott series are wonderful to hear, too.
For those who are really interested in audio books and have high speed internet connection, check out Audible.com.

gardenwife, I hope you received the PPC freeware I sent you.
This is a bit off-topic, but is something Ohioians should be proud of.

"[The] southeastern Ohio Automation Consortium, a consortium of 67 Ohio public libraries, has launched a new online service for its library members and their patrons , enabling the browsing and check out of eBooks from homes, offices and schools. So even in the heart of rural Ohio, where horse-drawn carriages and tractors share the road with cars, library patrons are downloading eBooks directly to their PCs and PDAs using the Internet."
I read quite a lot of ebooks on my Axim. Especially after I found out about the amount of free and totally legal ebooks available.
I have these books to trade. All of mine are in Casset form.
1. Leaving Cold Sassy by Olive Ann Burns read by Peter MacNicol and Joanne Camp
2. Snow Falling On Cedars by David Guterson read by B.D. Wong
3. A Painted House by John Grisham read by David Lansbury
4. The Patient by Michael Palmer read by Lisa Harrow
5. All The Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy read by Bradd Pitt
6. A Bend In The Road gy Nicholas Sparks read by John Bedford Lloyd
7. Poetry Collection by Maya Angelou read by Author.
Let me know what you are interested in and what you have to trade. Sure would love Harry Potter but I guess I am going to have to break down and by those. I read all the books so far.
I love to listen to "The News From Lake Wobegon"

Drop, I didn't -- I'm afraid my filters might have been too good and I might not have recognized the e-mail addy. Send them again, would you, and put DG Drop in the subject line?
I love Garrison Keillor, too! He has a 2-CD set of short stories and essays out, too. Our library had it.
gandenwife, email resent ;-)
Here is my list. Boy, I didn't realize how many I had out on loan until I took inventory.
CD - "Getting Real" by Dr. Phil
CD - "First, Break All The Rules" by Marcus Buckingham
CD - "The Perricone Prescription" by Nicholas Perricone, M.D.
Cassette - "Hamlet" Performed by The Renaissance Theatre Company
and many other cassette audio books out on loan. Chances of getting any of them back - slim. LOL
By the way, how do you like your audio books? One of the major debates among Harry Potter enthusiasts was who read a better Harry Potter book. Jim Dale’s version was published in U.S.. Stephen Fry’s version was published in U.K. Both of them are British, if it is the accent you are after ;-). Well, the different between the two represents the difference among most audio book performers. Jim Dale acted out the book. Dale used different voices for different characters. Stephen Fry read the book as is. Some, myself included, like the performance. Some like the reader just read the book in a flatter tone without adding his/her interpretation. Which way do you like best?
I know if I dig long enough I could find more.
Cassette - "Interview with The Vampire" by Anne Rice, read by F. Murray Abraham
I bet that's good, Drop. F. Murray Abraham has a great voice. I loved hearing him talk in Ammadeus.
Glad to see some of you are interested! Sorry it took so long to respond, I was away for July 4th festivities.
Tombstonejan, you have some great books there! I looked up information on a couple of the books. This one looks interesting. All The Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy read by Bradd Pitt
Let me know if you would mind trading for this one:
CD: Sons of Fortune by Jefferey Archer read by Paul Michael
Drop, I never gave it any thought of how I like my books read. I suppose that I like a change of inflection/tone. I dont mind a little bit of "acting" as long as its not over dramatic :)
