How Talkative are you?

Woodville, TX(Zone 8a)

I do have a cell phone but never turn it on unless it is mainly an emergency call. Sometimes at work I have to call a parent and it is really handy then since it is hard to get a line in the office and the inconvenience of leaving the classroom. I don't think I would know how to answer it if it did ring! Jenny

I fought having a cell phone for ages but gave in last year. I won't answer it when driving (a big gripe of mine is cell pnone use in traffic) but it has sure pulled my bacon out of the fire when my car broke down. I use it for my long distance calls to the kids since it saves me big bucks on toll calls. We can talk for hours and not run up the bill since most of our talk is at night or on the weekends anyway, No more, "well baby, I have to hang up before the phone bill gets to be higher than the rent"

I had a cell phone and got rid of it. I really don't want one, but there are occassions when I wish I had one handy. But...... since almost everyone else has one, all I really have to do when I'm in a pickle is just ask someone if I can use their's "real quick". I can't see paying $60+ a month for something I rarely use. I am not a yacker on the phone, that is for sure. Get me on the keyboard, however, and I can yack up a storm!

We share a family plan with my folks, Howie's mom and another couple, splitting the 800 anytime minutes. Most of the time, I like having the phone in case I'm out and about and need to ask Howie a question about something I'm shopping for. But it can be irritating sometimes, and we don't give out the numbers to many people.

No cell phone here. We used to say we were holding out for a lower price. Now we are holding out because the few times we would use one we can usually find a pay phone or someone with a cell. Out here if you break down on the freeway you just wait a while and along comes a cop to help you. I have had a cop change my tire, take me to town for gas, and take me home. Seems I don't need a cell phone for now. Maybe when I have grandkids I won't want to miss their cute little voices. :)

Do I qualify as a teacher? I used to teach dog obedience. I care for my Mom and she is a retired teacher of English, Reading, Music and Biology. Her two sisters were also teachers of the same subjects in different states. Growing up with all those teachers of English you would think I would know more of it. lol NOT

Just counted mine....181 since June 2, 2003. 88 of those are PDB picture posts though so that's really 93 posts to other forums. You got me beat Melissa!

I stoped counting at 390.

Ponditis we are all teachers! I don't see how a person could go through life without teaching. Yes, by all means you qualify. Jenny
