Carla, I'm so glad to hear you are having a good time on this trip. We did so enjoy you being here. If all DGers are as sweet as you this is truely the greatest site in the world. We enjoyed showing you all the critters and the yarden. Jack was so glad to have someone who actually knew about the same places in Germany that he had seen while stationed there in the Army. That is always a treat for him. And your interest in the early history of his home place and the antique furniture made him happy too.
The weather is holding wonderfully. Hope it is as good all over for your trip.
GOD bless and keep each and all of you and LORD, I pray for special protection for Carla as she is on the road the next few days. Take her safely to all the people she wants to meet and back home to her family. In JESUS name I pray, Amen.
Smiln across the miles
Well, we are on Smiln watch here. She should be here any time. :)
Such an adventure! This is better than the Flat People adventures! We could call this the Dimensional Smilin' Tour!
Dimensional Smilin'...LOL!
EvaMae, this is the first time I've ever seen you. Nice to see your smiling face and put it with the name!
'Chele, are ya takin her to King's Island? I think they have a shade garden with hostas. ;~)
Y'all have fun whatever ya do!
TC...
Smiln, if you find yourself in west central IN, please stop by! We would love to meet you and serve up some Hoosier Hospitality. We are pretty good cooks and we have an extra room if you would like a place to lay your head for the night. It would be wonderful to meet another DG-er!
Best wishes on your journey!
Carla, I already offered the back yard to TC if he wanted to pitch a tent. He's not had a chance to reply yet. You're welcome to mom's spare room or to the back yard with your own tent. :)
I finally made it to Badseed's. I got lost once. Well worth the trip, though. I can safely say that there is never a dull moment in this house. Six girls - all precious. They're trying to convince me to spend the night. Hmmmmmm......
So glad to hear you made it in to another one of yer destinations safe and sound Carla!
gw, thanks for the backyard campin spot offer. I'll know when I get there iffin I'll take ya up on it.
See y'all soon!
~TC...
Carla, I'm so glad you made it over to Badseed's Okay. It was such a pleasure having you here. I got my new camera last evening and now all I have to do is get the software onto the computer and I'll be ready to post some pics. When you get home, e-mail the pics of us here to me if you can. Have a great time, and let's hope the weather stays nice for you throughout the weekend. Lou
It was such a pleasure to meet Carla. I only wished she could have stayed longer. It may take her awhile to recuperate from her allergies though from being at my home.
Sounds like the trip of a lifetime to me, Carla. All is going very well for you and everyone you meet it seems!
EvaMae, great to finally get to "see" you! You and Carla look like you've known each other all yours lives!!
This is so much fun, folks. You all ought to do this. What a delight to spend time in the company of such kind and generous people. I'm currently at Rosiesplace (Yvonne). Her husband just cooked us a terrific lunch and Lupinelover came over to join us. We're off to a nursery (big surprise) and then the Franklin Park Conservatory. I'm in heaven.
Here's a picture of Lou (dispatcher1) and myself. Oh, what a gracious hostess. Her DH was as sweet as ever, even letting me take some of his migraine medicine. As Honibee alluded, I did have a tough time with my allergies at her house. All is well, though. Nothing drugs and sleep can't cure. :)
Lou's gardens are divine, complete with a stream in the back yard. Her talent for painting and her creativity flow so perfectly into her gardens in the way of statuettes and rocks. I didn't want to leave!
I've been so blessed to spend time with all of these wonderful people.
Yvonne, Lupinelover, Honiebee, Lou, 'Chele, and all you other wonderful DG'ers puttin up with Carla; I know she cain't hold all those plants y'all have probably sneaked and put in the trunk of her car, so when I see her at gw and Howie's place tomorrow I'll take a few of em off her hands. ;~)
'Chele, that lil-un yer holdin looks as cool as a cucumber. I think a baby looks so cute wearin nuthin but a diaper in the summertime. I usta let mine crawl around out in the grass wearin just a diaper and watch em make funny faces on account of the grass ticklin em.
~TC...
Honibee, good to see you, finally! Gosh, Carla, before long, you're going to rival Roadrunner in the number of DG members met.
Great to see you, too, Lou & Chele! She's getting closer to us with every passing hour...
TC -- you bringing your guitar? I have a 12-string if you don't, but my fingers are realllly out of shape even if I didn't have a brace on. You're welcome to play it, though.

And the trip keeps rockin' on! Great pics! So good to see everyone!
(TC...you and GW gonna practice RESPECT for the Roundup while there? You have no excuse now!)
I'll try and get her to Horseshoe! I know she has the words to it, unless she's lost em (prolly will now, on purpose).
;~)
TC...
Ack! Another stunning picture of me with swimming pool head and worse! LOL That is it! No more DGers at my house with cameras!
Carla, I am so envious of your travels. It's so fun going with you, even if it's only through cyperspace. I hope your future stops are as much fun.
Hi everyone, it's so nice to see some of you again and also to meet you Honibee. Michele, wish I looked that good with pool head!! lol I can't believe how big Maddy is getting...you sure that's the same kid?
Thanks for letting us go along for the ride.
Donna
Awwwww, I *love* those girls! I'm so glad we're at least in the same state (not that we get down there very often!).
Yeah, yeah, Shoe and TC. I'll print out the words. Happy?
(Print out the words?....Nope...you and TC are s'posed to belt 'em out!)

TC, you can bring your laptop if you'd like -- we have an extra wireless card if you need one.
Have a good and safe trip, TC. (Take your camera!)
Carla, I just saw this thread. Where are you now? Would love to see you, perhaps on your way back. We are West of Louisville, I could give you easy directions from 64 West. You can call me at any of these numbers: 270-496-4218, 270-496-4800, 270-863-1538, 270-998-0045. Geez, I have too many phones! And if you look on the map, I am in Payneville, KY....(actually Andyville). Hope we can hook up.
Happy Day, Kathy
Kathy - I'm not sure if she spent the night at Rosiesplace, or if she's camping. She's due here late morning or Noonish tomorrow, though. I'll be sure she sees this! :)
Carla was here for such a short but wonderful visit. What a delight to visit with real people from the Cyper world! She spent the night with Kathy. . . . I have dogs, too! Yesterday we shopped until we dropped. And there is more shopping today! There are soooooooooo many plants that we gardeners just can't live without. . . . especially when they are on sale! God speed on your journey, Carla. Please do this again real soon!
Thanks Kimberley. Tomorrow is farmers' market and she might have some fun helping out with that, ....:) When is she planning to turn around and head back to OK? How wonderful that she has made this trip and is seeing everyone. Chances are I won't be able to make the RU this year, so would love DG visits. :)
Happy Day, Kathy
Hey, folks. I'm at GW's now. I had such a wonderful time visiting Yvonne and Kathy. I spent more than I should have, but then I have stopped at nearly every nursery we could find. :) My backseat is about full and that's after dropping off one load at my folks' house in IL. :)
TC just got here too, so it's time for lunch!
Lunch was good...Here's pictures I took today: http://davesgarden.com/t/441262/
