Hello All Ohioans,
I just received my next postcard from deMonye's! Check out the picture below! The black lines are where my addy was.
Ohioans, Are You Ready Again??
Heck, yeah!
kc8lcw, I am not familiar with deMonye's. I assume they are good since you are on their mailing list.
Ohhhh, I got that, too. I don't DARE. I still have not planted anything except two of the transplants I got from NoH20 the day we met there. Ooooooh.....Be strong, Kimberley.
Dave, did you get my e-mail about the wter hyacinth?
(Cece swings at flyer with her shovel) "Get back! Get back I tells ya!"
Lead us not into temptation, KC. I need to be taking stuff out of my garden, not adding more. After all that rain I'm battling with the weeds, plus I need to thin out some of my perennials and just generally make things more "tidy".
Of course, having plantar faciaitis in both my feet has not helped at all. I just wish I could kick back with a Bloody Mary while a team of hunky landscape designers hurls themselves into the fray. "Our we ready for our mulching now, Ms. Cece?"....Mmmmmmmmmm....Oh. Sorry. Got a little off topic there.
Anyway, thanks but no thanks, DeMonye.
Hmmm, wonder how long it would take me to drive up there?
ceceoh
That's funny! I really don't need anymore plants right now either, but I just couldn't resist! I will probably be making a trip up there on July 1st, just to see what they are offering. As far as the landscaping crew goes, I would love it too, but I would sit back with a nice big Piņa Colada!
weeds,
I think it takes approx. 16-18 hours, if you drive.
GW,
Yes, I did get your email. When yours start having babies to the point that you need to put some up for adoption, please let me know! You know you can go to jail if you throw babies in the trash! :)
Dave
I've got babies now, Dave. Carla and TC will be here for lunch on Friday -- you and any of the local DG contingent are welcome to come by. If you are interested in coming and meeting up with folks, drop me an e-mail.
Margarita for me.
GW,
Thanks for the invite. I would have loved to make it, but since I am an amatuer radio operator and affiliated with the Central Ohio Severe Weather Network (http://www.severe-weather.org), I have been given the responsibility of attending Red, White and Boom. I will be volunteering my time in the Columbus Police Emergency Operations Center reporting weather conditions to both the Columbus Police and Columbus Fire Department. My duties will consist of communicating weather conditions from the National Weather Service in Wilmington, OH, and the meteorologists at WCMH NBC 4 Columbus to the public safety officials. If there is any report of possible high winds or severe weather, they will call off the fireworks display. My day will start at the EOC at 4:00 PM and continue through until after the fireworks display.
Wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July from me. If you are willing to get rid of some of those babies, maybe I can make a trip some time next week. I would really like to see your place, especially your garden and of course the puppies and kitties.
Dave
Oh, cool - keep everyone safe, then!
You're very welcome to come by next week. Your dobie's welcome, too. No fenced-in yard, but they can tear around the house and there school near us has a fenced-in playground no one uses much.
KC, I'm new to this site. I live in Sringfield and a trip to Col. for this great sale is tempting. Do they have a web site? Thanks, lori

Lori,
They do not have an official website, but here are a few links that you can take a look at thanks to Gardenwife!

Gardenwife can possibly supply more links also.
During the Annual Perrenial Sale this past April, Tom McNutt from WCMH NBC-4 Columbus, was broadcasting live. Tom McNutt is their gardening expert, and usually does a segment every weekend from around the area.
Dave
Thanks for the links Dave. I'll be sure to get over there before the sale ends.
