Wow!
I have had this ponytail Palm for over 10 years now, and this is the first time I have ever seen it with an inflorescence.

How exciting!

Just had to share.....

That is so wonderful! I hope to see mine bloom one day. High hopes since it's in a big pot in my office LOL I really should think about planting it.

That is beautiful. is it in a pot or in the ground? I can't tell from the pic. What kind of sun does it get there. I have moved mine outside but in a shaded area. We get some pretty hard core sunshine here in the desert.

Well, it was in a large clay pot, but the roots broke the pot,so I now have it in a large wooden box I made for it. It grew for many years in the shade of our patio. It has been in it's newlocation for 2 years now,and receives full sun. Sunny San Diego, California. I receive an ocean breeze, but no salt.

The plant, to the best of my knowledge is about 12 years to 14 years old.

I do fertilize it with a slow release granular every now and then. I will snap some more pics of it this weekend and post.

Can't wait to see how much more it changes.

Well, I moved mine outside. It's in the shade but it's pretty warm out there. It has new growth but looks a little dry. How often do you water yours?
I was born in Sunny San Deigo. I miss the weather but not the cost of living there now. And the Traffic, Whew!

I water it about 2 times a week. I give it a deep water (it's in a container) and it does just fine.....
