Recruit New Member's For Dave's Garden

Des Moines, IA(Zone 5a)

I would like to know
what other members
think of think trying
to recruit new Members
to Dave's Garden
because I have seen
some say that there
roundup for their state
needs more people to
come.

I have been to
greenhouses & places
like Wal-Mart- Home
Depot & other small
garden centers & people
flock to these places
to buy plants & don't
know there is a place
like Dave's Garden.

I know some of these
people has a larger
flower garden then me
& I am thinking of
asking these places to
let me put flyers up
telling them about
Dave's Garden.

It should even help
them sell more garden
plants & supplies
because I go around
to the different
places to look for
something new All the
time.
If people only Knew all
the information they
could get from Dave's &
a newsletter Everyday
(well almost) if they
miss me one day they
send me 2 the next day.

THIS is what I am going
to do so let me know if
you think it is a good
Idea.

It's a great idea, spread the word! :) I'm always talking about DG to people, especially ones I see at garden centers. Gather information and bring it to the "home and garden" editor at your local newspapers, too. If you can give them numbers, like how many from your state subscribe, for instance, it might raise their interest.

I'm going to print business cards with my gardenwife.com domain as well as davesgarden.com - they're handy to pass to people who ask about my photography and who want to know more about DG when I tell them about trading plants by mail, roundups, etc.

THANKS jo: For telling me about the Media Kit,

I will use it & I want everyone to know that Dave's Garden doesn't need my help to get new members as they are doing quite well without my help.

I have been a member since January of this year & there is only a few members around the Des Moines area & I see hundreds of people at the garden centers & I have talked to several that belong to garden clubs that never heard of Dave's.

If everyone that has a roundup's in your state would talk to some of these people you might get them to join & you will gain some new friends.

You can't get this much information that Dave's puts out anywhere else. I like getting the pictures of the flowers, most of you have computers but I have a web-tv & my screen is a 61" tv & when someone puts on a flower it is
so big I can just about stick my head in the flower & look around.

JO: if you want to see the place where we are going to have the Iowa Roundup next year GO to Roundup in the form & see the pictures of the shelter Iowaron took of the place, hope you & Bob can come. (bring the dog so my granddaughter can play with it again)
