It is the first time the Olympic Fire comes to South America, being carried by several brazilian athletes, former athletes, artists, and a few chosen common people on the streets of Rio de Janeiro.
Here, my sister recieves the honor from Wlamir Marques, 2 times world champion with the Brazilian Basketball Team in 1959 and 1963, and 2 times olympic medalist (bronze in Rome 1960 and Tokyo 1964). She, of course, didnīt know that :^P
What a honor that must have been to carry the torch. I can't believe the games are coming up pretty soon.

That's just wonderful & hopefully, she wasn't overwelmed with it all. I would consider it a privelege!! What an experience that must have been!! A memory of a lifetime!
