Wonderful Barefoot Butterfly cards by Horseshoe

Middle, TN(Zone 6b)

You folks are going to want to order some "Barefoot Butterfly" cards from Horseshoe for sure. You better contact him while he still has a good supply! I just received mine and am overjoyed with them. He has created the cards with two different beautiful butterfly designs with the poem on both of them. I love them and am going to frame both of them as they are so unique.....For those of you who aren't familiar with the poem by Shoe, it is a really neat poem and typical of our beloved Horseshoe in his unique style of writing.

so how do you get them?

Middle, TN(Zone 6b)

Springsong, click on his name in any post he has made and it will give you a chance to send him an email. He doesn't know that I have done this so explain yourself. He may come down to Nashville and kill me for not giving him any advance notice of what I did! I just wanted everyone to get a chance to buy them as I just love them.

You can also go to his member page and find the place to email him.

Ahah!...caught ya!

One day I hope to follow thru and open my Scif store. If I ever do that (and decide what kind of store I want it to be!) I'm sure I'll be offering a variety of cards.

At this point I've only had a first printing of them and am nearly out already.

Should I decide to sell some I wouldn't have the foggiest idea what to sell them for anyway so for now have chosen to give them out here and there as gifts. Until the next printing I'm afraid my inventory is nearly depleted already.

Thanks for braggin' on me, Ellen! Glad you really liked 'em!

Hey folks, maybe we can talk him into printing some more with orders already taken ahead of time!!!!! Shoe, go into a nice gift shop and price the cards that they have in stock with say 10 to a package. Also price what is on-line that others have for sale and then hit it somewhere in between high and low..Plus postage......

Maybe someone reading this is familiar with what such cards usually sell for. You certainly need to pay for your printing and then make something on them too.

They are wonderful cards and I know your friends here at DG would love to have them because they will remind them of you. I think that the bluebird should be on some cards too. Got a poem for his card??? Maybe folks would like to sell some at Roundup for you. I know that I want you to bring some to KYRU when you come there.

I feel sure that you have too much to do during farmer's market season to start an online store. That you can do when it is snowing outside!

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

heheh...I just need YOU to work for me in my Shoffice, Ellen!

I'll order some more printings and see what happens. Will holler when I get my ducks in a row.

(PS...as for Farmers' Mkt...I chose not to go this year so I can do other things, hopefully. Am still growing and selling, just not at the market.)

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I got mine, too -- They're so fun, Shoe! I love your little logo on the back, too.

To save costs, a local printer might pre-score some nice cardstock for you. You could also get a rotary paper cutter and pick up a scoring blade. You can get blades that make wavy cuts, straight cuts and even perforations.

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

Ya'll are trying to get me in the printin' business, eh?

Middle, TN(Zone 6b)

Yep, Shoe! When you have talent... why do like the foolish man in the Bible and hid your light under a bushel?

Those are good ideas, Kim. If I go to work in the Shoffice, Kim, you might want to be our representative out in the field!
Some mighty good food gets fixed in that office too! Perks of the job, I hope.

Sounds like a winner to me =))

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Elena - thanks for spreading the word! I love Shoe's poetry and told him quite a while ago to open a SCIF store. He would be an instant hit!

Shoe - Any cards left??? (graveling on bended knees) :~)

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

For right now I gotta hang on to the few left...but there is another printing coming at some point. Sorry.

If I opened a Scif store now all I would have to offer is these cards and one day my CD's. I don't think people would visit a store that only offered one item so if I ever get my ducks in a row and have more to offer I'll follow thru.

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Now I want to know what the cards say. You have peaked my interest. Oh, and what is this about CD's?

Crossville, TN

Honibee....when you do that "favor" for me we talked about...I will send you one as a Thank You gift. I was blessed by Shoe making me a gift of a few when I stopped in to see them last week....I think it was a bribe to get me to go merrily on my way!! LOL I already had one framed and hanging above my computer! Jo
